Find out what Depp shared in the courtroom this week. And see whether the actor might want to return to his role as Jack Sparrow one more time. Learn all the details below.

Johnny Depp – Discusses ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ Movies In Trial

Amid his trial involving former wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp described his wish to continue with his “Pirates Of The Caribbean” movies. And his desire seemed simple. In a sentimental statement, Depp shared that he longed to provide a proper farewell to Captain Jack Sparrow, reported Variety.

But that desire got ship-wrecked when Johnny got thrown overboard from the “Pirates Of The Caribbean” franchise. And the actor claims his firing resulted directly from Heard’s essay. Because Amber alleged domestic abuse, Johnny feels his career got ruined. As a result, Depp wants $50 million in damages.

However, Heard’s lawyer questioned the sequence of events. For instance, did Depp get fired prior to the publication of that essay? Or did Johnny get dropped from his Captain Jack Sparrow role after the op-ed got published?

Johnny Depp – Reveals If He Wants To Continue Captain Jack Sparrow Role

But the lawyer for Johnny Depp succeeded in getting more details. And that allowed the actor to share his feelings about his landmark role as Captain Jack Sparrow. “These characters should be able to have their proper goodbye,” stated Johnny. “There’s a way to end a franchise like that.”

As a result of that desire to wrap up his role, Depp testified that he “planned on continuing until it was time to stop.” But Johnny also used his testimony to discuss what happened after the fifth movie in the franchise, “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” got released. And Depp recalled talking with the creative team about collaborating on the screenplay for the sixth film.

But Amber Heard’s op-ed abuse allegations reportedly caused the project to go into what Depp calls “dangle mode.” And Johnny described exactly how those claims affected his career. “Two years had gone by of constant worldwide talk about me being this wife beater. So I’m sure that Disney was trying to cut ties to be safe,” summed up Depp.

Because of his history with the franchise, the actor felt stunned by getting dropped. “I didn’t quite understand how after that long relationship, and quite a successful relationship certainly for Disney, that suddenly I was guilty until proven innocent,” he added. However, Depp also had to explain a comment he once made about not doing any more “Pirates” movies. That remark included the actor refusing even if Disney offered “$300 million and a million alpacas.” But Johnny shared that he made the comment only after getting fired.

yes yes and YES—Johnny DEPP IS JACK SPARROW–there is no Pirates of the Caribbean movies without Depp. He is a fenominal actor.

Yes of course, why would you even bother making another Pirates of the Caribbean movie and not have Captain Jack Sparrow in it. You need to bring back Johnny or don't make another Pirates of the Caribbean movie because if you do make it without Johnny I will not be going to watch it. Come on Disney you now have more than enough proof that Johnny is innocent of what he's being accused of.

Yes I feel that he was wrongful accused by a self-centered person who did nothing but try and make a name for herself
I truly hope that Johnny can continue making many more Pirates of the Caribbean movies they are good family movies as I along with millions of others love these movies
