Amber Heard – ‘Broke’ After Johnny Depp Trial!

How can a successful actress suddenly find herself with an empty bank account? Amber Heard faces that exact situation, insiders told the New York Post. As a result of her financial woes, Amber cannot pay what she owes Johnny Depp. And given that the amount she must pay totals $10.4 million, the solution won’t come easily.

One insider summed up Heard’s financial status as “broke.” But only part of her financial problems result from the legal fees she owned for her trial with Johnny Depp. And Amber’s lawyer got blunt in discussing the situation.

“Oh, no, absolutely not,” stated Heard’s lawyer Elaine Bredehoft. That comment came in response to a question about whether the actress can pay the fees required per the jury’s verdict. But some insiders believe that legal fees don’t tell the full story.

Amber Heard – Spent Money Lavishly In Addition To Legal Fees

Reasons why the actress, 36, needs cash stem at least partly from her lavish spending, shared one insider. For instance, Amber reportedly spent significant amounts of money on travel, clothes, wine, and gifts. And while she might have viewed herself as living a normal celebrity life, that tendency to extravagant spending coupled with the legal fees mean bad news for her bank account.

However, another source pointed to Heard’s trial with Johnny Depp as the key cause of her financial woes. Amber reportedly changed her legal team. As a result, she turned to her homeowner’s insurance policy to pay for her lawyers. That meant that The Travelers Companies helped pay via Amber’s insurance policy terms.

As a result of the news about Amber’s financial problems, rumors have swirled about her net worth. She reportedly has a net worth between $1.5 million and $2.5 million, leaving a huge gap between her finances and the money she owes Johnny after the jury ruled in his favor. And although Heard does have upcoming movies including the sequel for Aquaman, she reportedly lost some ad brand endorsement deals that could have replenished her bank account.
