Johnny Depp and Amber Heard recently battled in court for weeks. And the actor’s fans cheered as he won. But now Amber may have found a way to halt the celebration.

Amber Heard Claims WRONG Juror In Johnny Depp Trial!
Johnny Depp has happily celebrated his defamation trial win against Amber Heard. But did Depp celebrate too soon? A new report shows Amber challenging the verdict because of a weird allegation about one of the jurors.
The brouhaha began on Friday, when Heard’s attorneys filed a document demanding a retrial, according to the Daily Mail. In their papers, the lawyers alleged that the jury included an individual who should not have been present. And according to their document, an individual age 77 got chosen for jury service. However, a 52-year-old person with the same address and last name stepped up and served instead.
As a result of that alleged juror switch, Heard’s attorneys claim that her “right to a jury trial and due process” got “undermined and compromised.” And they also urged a mistrial declaration. “‘Under these circumstances, a mistrial should be declared, and a new trial ordered,” added the lawyers.

Johnny Depp And Amber Heard Trial To Get Repeated?!
However, the attorneys did not reveal how the alleged juror switch happened. And they also left out the first names of the two jurors in the situation. But the paperwork does point out that Virginia supposedly set up ways to ensure such switches do not occur. For instance, jurors should get identified with unique numbers such as the date of birth and seven-digit juror number. Although zip code also gets included with the identification, the shared address may have helped cause the problem.
Referring to the safeguards, Amber Heard’s attorneys wrote in their document, “Those safeguards are in place and relied upon by the parties to verify the identity of the correct juror.” And as a result of those requirements, the court supposedly ensures “due process and a fair trial for all litigants.” However, when the safeguards get avoided or not obeyed, problems can occur, noted her lawyers.
“When these safeguards are circumvented or not followed, as appears to be the case here, the right to a jury trial and due process are undermined and compromised,” reads the document. The request for a mistrial to get declared and a new trial ordered follows a previous claim from the same attorneys that trial evidence did not support the verdict. And the new filing states,” Ms. Heard had a right to rely on the basic protection, as prescribed by the Virginia Code, that the jurors in this trial would be individuals who were actually summoned for jury duty.”
