Johnny Depp – Won’t Look At Amber Heard During Trial?!

Amber Heard stayed busy throughout her trial thus far, including repeatedly tearfully weeping about her allegations against Johnny Depp. As a result, the actress may not have noticed what observers did: Depp’s refusal to look at his ex-wife. However, Amber got forced to deal with the situation during her testimony, reported People.

One of Johnny’s lawyers, Camilla Vasquez, took on the task of bringing up the issue. During the cross-examination, the attorney asked Amber, 36, if the 58-year-old actor had looked at her. “Mr. Depp hasn’t looked at you once this entire trial, has he?” questioned Vasquez.

And Heard confessed what she did notice. “Not that I’ve noticed, no,” said the actress about Johnny failing to look at her. As a result, Vasquez then switched the situation around. And she pointed out that Amber has “looked at [Johnny Depp] many times, haven’t you?” Heard admitted to the attorney that she has eyed her ex husband on several occasions during the trial.

Because the actress made that confession, Vasquez then asked a key question. “You know exactly why Mr. Depp won’t look back at you, don’t you?” asked Depp’s attorney. And Amber admitted that she did know the reason. 

According to the lawyer, Johnny promised Amber that she “would never see his eyes again.” However, when the attorney asked Heard to confirm, the actress stated, “I don’t recall if he said that.” But an audio of one of the estranged couple’s final visits resulted in Amber changing her story.

As a result, Depp’s attorney asked, “He’s kept that promise, hasn’t he?” And in response to that query about Depp not looking at Heard, she confessed, “As far as I know, he cannot look at me.” However, the lawyer played with the word choice. For instance, Vasquez asked, “He won’t look at you, right Ms. Heard?” And Amber responded, “He can’t.” 

The questions about why Depp ignored Heard reportedly link to Amber filing for a protective order. But she then asked him to meet her at a hotel and pleaded for a hug. That odd sequence of events allegedly caused Johnny to vow that Heard would not have to look him in the eyes ever again.
