The trailer starts with a party scene where Jeanne Du Barry was introduced by her spouse to the guests present at the party, and just like magic, she won the hearts of all present.

Despite being warned to steer clear of the King by avoiding direct eye contact with him as that would mean “invitation to intimacy,” Jeanne threw caution to the wind and went ahead to stare boldly at the King.

It didn’t take long for King Louis and Jeanne to fall head over heels in love with each other, much to the dismay and disapproval of the court and the King’s daughters.

As all good things must come to an end, so did Jeanne and King Louis’ love shatter in a quite scandalous manner, all thanks to Jeanne’s stubbornness.

A voice was heard in the climax of the trailer telling Jeanne, “You are discovering the dark side of the king.” The last scene featured a scared Jeanne fleeing by running up a flight of stairs as a voice says “You are in grave danger, madame.” —translated from French.
