While some assumed that perhaps Hedy was the subject of a new song that Depp has written “I think it’s a song called Hedy Lamar,” one wrote. “His album is coming.” Others wondered whether it meant Johnny has signed up for an upcoming series about Hedy starring Gal Gadot.
Recently, a rep for Depp revealed that the actor will be releasing a new album next month with guitarist Jeff Beck. Meanwhile, Beck broke the news of the project’s upcoming release date during a June 2 performance with Depp in Gateshead, England, per The Guardian.
“I met this guy five years ago and we’ve never stopped laughing since,” Beck noted. “We actually made an album. I don’t know how it happened. It will be out in July.”
The star of “Murder On Orient Express” made a surprise appearance on stage on Sunday night to perform alongside Jeff Beck at a gig in Sheffield. According to stunned onlookers, Depp sang his cover of Isolation, which was originally a John Lennon song and was released by the star and Beck in 2020.
Taking to Twitter to share a clip of the performance, one user wrote: “Just been to see Jeff Beck at Sheffield City Hall, he had a surprise special guest, Johnny Depp!!”

The eight-episode show was announced back in 2019 and is set to air on Apple TV+. The series is described as an epic tale of an immigrant woman both ahead of her time and very much a victim of it.
It will also delve into Hedy’s contributions as an inventor; she and her friend, composer George Antheil, patented a frequency-hopping system during World War II and both were inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame in 2014.
