Jon Bon Jovi & Crew Stop Suicidal Woman on Bridge From Jumping

Jon Bon Jovi, Lead singer of Bon Jovi was filming a music video in Nashville, Tennesse when he stepped in to stop a woman’s attempt at ending her life on Tuesday, September 10.

In an “in the right place at the right time” moment, he talked the woman off the ledge of a bridge in the city.

Bon Jovi Stops Woman From Ending Her Life

Jon came across the woman as he was filming his music video.

Metropolitan Nashville Police Department shared the following tweet on X, regarding the incident.

“A shout out to @jonbonjovi & his team for helping a woman on the Seigenthaler Ped Bridge Tue night. Bon Jovi helped persuade her to come off the ledge over the Cumberland River to safety.”

The Nashville PD also released a video of Jon along with another bystander, helping the lady to safety. The department chief, John Drake, added to the statement that, “It takes all of us to help keep each other safe.”

Bon Jovi’s Helpful Attitude

Still, Jon Bon Jovi of the hit song “Livin’ On A Prayer” has enjoyed helping others in the past, so it’s not overly surprising he stepped up to the plate when the opportunity arose.

In 2006 he started the JBJ Souls Foundation with a mission to “maximize” and “recognize” the human potential in those affected by homelessness, poverty, and hunger.

The organization offers assistance in establishing initiatives that provide food and affordable housing while also supporting job training programs and social services.

According to the not-for-profit, it began as a small project in Philadelphia and has since increased across 12 states in America, helping thousands of individuals, including veterans and youth.

The foundation has stated that their “ … expanded mission helps those in need of a warm, nutritious meal and now operates three JBJ Soul Kitchens in New Jersey.”
