The alleged feud between the star of “Pearl Harbor” Josh Hartnett and the star of “Indiana Jones” Harrison Ford which has gone on for two good decades has finally been set right.
The fact about the matter is that the so-called feud was a clear misinterpretation of what actually went down that day between Josh and Harrison on the set of the film “Hollywood Homicide” in 2003.
After twenty years of the public believing that the “Hollywood Homicide” co-stars don’t see eye to eye, Josh finally feels it’s high time to debunk the news and teach the public once again to not believe everything they read.
Josh Hartnett — Josh Said “Drama Sold Newspapers”
In a recent interview with “The Independent,” the “Lucky Number” actor told the outlet that it’s true that he and the “Blade Runner” actor disagreed with a lot of things on the set of the film, they actually get along quite well.
Speaking of the viral picture that carried the feuding rumor, the 44-year-old said that the whole thing was blown out of proportion and that the media ran with and misled the public.
“Drama sold newspapers, especially back then. But we actually got along really well. There were things that we disagreed about on set as far as [the script], and there was a lot of rewriting happening. But it was misinterpreted as ‘They don’t get along!'” Said Josh.
He went on to add that filming with Harrison wasn’t as bad as the make-believe story flying around. “It certainly wasn’t a set that was filled with tension. I think I did call him ‘the bane of my existence’ when we were on the press tour for that movie, but that was just because he was constantly ribbing me. And that’s just his way.”
Josh Hartnett — Josh And Harrison Gave Themselves Nicknames
The two actors who starred as LAPD partners trying to uncover the mystery behind the murder of four promising rappers at a nightclub in the 2003 action-comedy film, bickered a lot in real life just as they did in the movie.
Reports have it that the duo each has a name for one another. While Harrison nicknamed Josh “Punk,” Josh nicknamed Harrison “old fart.”
During an interview with “ContactMusic” in 2003, Josh explained that in the beginning, there were times when he and Harrison will sit in a car for over an hour without saying a word to each other, days like that happened when the duo was supposed to be on set filming.
“There were times we would end up just sitting in the car when we were supposed to be doing a scene and neither of us would say anything for like an hour. I think there was a testing period I had to endure,” said Josh before adding, “But we ended up getting along near the end.”
