Judge Sides With Britney Spears, She Won’t Sit For Deposition

Just two weeks ago, on Wednesday, July 13, the Judge ruled that Britney Spears’ father Jamie Spears must sit for a deposition and that he has 30 days to provide documents relating to the conservatorship of his daughter to the court.

For context purposes, both Britney and Jamie are forcing each other to sit for a deposition. In Jamie’s case, Jamie said his daughter Britney defamed him through numerous things she said on her social media during the #FreeBritney movement, things like forcing Britney to give “eight tubes of blood for medical treatment, was forced to participate in therapy, and was not allowed to own pain-reliever meds.”

Britney Spears – Won’t Sit For Deposition

Yesterday, July 27, the Judge in charge of the court case of the Spears’, in Los Angeles Court Brenda Penny took Britney’s side by being against Britney sitting for deposition. Previously, Britney’s attorney Mathew Rosengart made a statement saying that whether or not Jamie chose to believe or accept the fact that he traumatized his daughter with his actions when he was in charge of her conservatorship for 13 years, doesn’t change the fact that his daughter felt traumatized all through her conservatorship, therefore, Jamie forcing his daughter to sit for deposition will only make Britney re-live her traumas.

Mathew’s argument led the Judge to rule that Britney won’t sit for deposition with her father, the Judge also ruled against Britney providing her father with the address of where she’s currently staying, saying it was totally irrelevant to the case at hand. But then, come to think of it, what does Jamie want with Britney’s current address? Hasn’t he gotten the memo? Jamie should better start considering himself a threat to his daughter’s peace and happiness.

Last year, in an interview with The New York Times Presents: “Controlling Britney Spears,” one of the men placed as security for Britney revealed that Britney’s father Jamie all in the bid to take control of and be in the know of everything going on in Britney’s life, went as far as keeping tabs on Britney’s phone and even put a listening device in her bedroom without her consent and knowledge.

Last month, Jamie’s lawyer Alex Weingarten debunked the story of the bedroom listening device and called it “salacious and false.” Stating that, “In fact, there are no documents regarding the alleged bugging or surveillance of Britney’s bedroom,” read the filing, “and this is because it never happened.”

That same last month, Jamie Spears pressed for Britney to pay for the legal fees he incurred during the conservatorship trial.
