Justin Baldoni’s Lawyers Allege Blake Lively’s Legal Complaint Is A Career-Boosting PR Stunt

Blake Lively surprised the world this December when she filed an 80-page legal complaint against Justin Baldoni and some of his associates. If you ask the actress, she’ll tell you she did it in the hopes “that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted.”

In contrast, Baldoni’s lawyers are claiming she did it to detract from the negative backlash she received during their ‘It Ends With Us‘ press tour. On top of this, Baldoni’s counterclaim will reportedly provide evidence that Lively’s team launched a smear campaign against Baldoni, and not the other way around. Popcorn please.

What We Know About Justin Baldoni’s Counterclaims Against Blake Lively’s Legal Filing

The fallout of Lively’s revelations on Dec. 20 was swift for Baldoni. He lost awards, honors, his agency WME, his podcast co-host and jobs as well.

He is also currently being sued by his ex-publicist. However, according to reports by The Daily Mail, his legal team is prepared to come out swinging.

He’s since denied all of Lively’s claims against him, and according to reports, has prepared his own counter-lawsuit alongside his business partner and Wayfarer Studios CEO Jamey Heath and the publicists named in Lively’s complaint.

Per the reports, attorney Bryan Freedman is ready to file the papers once the court reopens following the New Year break.

In the filing, Baldoni alleged that Lively’s Vision PR team, led by company boss Leslie Sloane, launched a smear campaign against him, even though they’re now insisting it’s the other way around.

The filing also claimed that WhatsApp messages from Baldoni’s team was taken out of context so much their very meaning was altered.

Justin Baldoni Accuses Blake Lively of Planting Negative Stories About Him Through Media Outlets

Apart from the aforementioned claims, Baldoni also accused Lively’s publicist of going out of her eay to plant negative stories about him in the press.

Baldoni further believes that Lively’s filing against him was her strategic way of rebuilding her Hollywood reputation, which didn’t exactly shine during the promotion of their latest movie, ‘It Ends With Us,’ despite the movie’s success.
