Justin Bieber Anticipates $200 Million Deal For His Music Rights

Justin Bieber can look forward to bankrolling everything he and wife Hailey Baldwin Bieber desire in 2023. Because the pop singer just neared closing an impressively enormous deal on his music rights. And though the deal remains to get hammered out, it looks near completion.

Find out about Justin’s deal for his music rights. And learn how it comes at a pivotal time in his career. Get all the details below.

Justin Bieber – Set To Bank Millions For Music Rights

A staggering figure could soon land in Justin Bieber’s bank account. And though it has not yet gotten finalized, Bieber has almost finished with a deal for his music rights. Once finalized, the contract will give Justin’s music rights to Blackstone-backed Hipgnosis Songs Capital for around $200 million, insiders told Variety.

What at first involved only rumors now appears set to take place. And the deal combines Justin’s shares of his recorded music and publishing catalog. However, insiders noted that Universal will keep owning and administering the catalog even after the deal closes.

And the good news comes after a period of bad news for Bieber. For instance, the pop singer recently delayed the dates left in his Justice tour. And Justin left fans disappointed by not specifying any future dates.

Justin Bieber – Faces Challenges Amid Music Deal

Fans at first signed up to see Bieber on his tour in 2020. However, those dates got delayed because of the pandemic. And then came Justin’s struggles with Ramsay Hunt syndrome. As a result of this rare virus, the singer suffered from facial paralysis.

However, Bieber finally managed to perform at a few concerts. But then came postponements. And in addition to Justin’s challenges with his health, the catalog market has experienced ups and downs. Because musicians want more and interest rates have soared, Justin could have gone through even more challenges to profit from his catalog.

But Bieber does get an advantage in the fact that his hits are included in the catalog. More experienced singers, such as Phil Collins, still command an impressive fee. For instance, Genesis and Phil Collins reportedly sold their catalogs for $300 million earlier this year. And companies including Hipgnosis still flock to newer catalogs.

As a result, if the deal works out, Justin’s contract would represent the biggest music rights acquisition for Hipgnosis in history. And Bieber’s negotiations come in the wake of the company snagging the song-catalog rights of Justin Timberlake.

Timberlake’s deal reportedly involved more than $100 million. And Bieber gets an advantage in that his hit songs such as “Sorry” and “Baby” represent huge global success stories.
