Justin Timberlake Reaches A Revised Plea Deal in DWI Case, According To Reports

Justin Timberlake is expected to enter a new plea agreement in his driving while intoxicated (DWI) case during a court appearance on Friday in Sag Harbor, New York.

According to sources in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office, Timberlake is likely to plead guilty to a minor traffic offense, which will result in the DWI charge being dismissed.

An 11 a.m. hearing will be held to discuss the likely plea deal. This follows Timberlake’s arrest earlier this summer when he initially pleaded not guilty to a DWI charge.

Details Of The Arrest

In the town of Sag Harbor, which is located about 100 miles east of New York City, Timberlake was stopped by police on June 18 at around 12:30 in the morning.

Police said that Timberlake’s BMW ran a stop sign and went into the wrong lane. Bloodshot eyes, a glassy look, and an alcoholic odor on his breath were all noted by the arresting officer about Timberlake.

Timberlake apparently informed the police during the interaction that he was just following his pals home and had just had one martini.

According to court records, Timberlake declined to submit to a breathalyzer test three times. He was accused of DWI but was later freed on his own recognizance.

Legal Defense and Current Status

Timberlake’s attorney, Edward Burke Jr., has consistently maintained that Timberlake was not intoxicated at the time of his arrest.

Burke has argued that the singer should not have been charged, attributing the situation to significant errors by law enforcement.

In a recent court session, the judge suspended Timberlake’s driver’s license, a standard procedure in New York for DWI cases.

Despite this, Timberlake continues his “Forget Tomorrow World Tour,” making a notable appearance in Chicago shortly after his arrest, where he addressed his fans, acknowledging the tough week he had been through.
