Justin Timberlake’s DWI Arrest Mugshot Gets Added In Museum As Contemporary Art

I bet you Justin Timberlake didn’t know he was going to make art when he and his friends partied at a lush hotel into the early hours and he drank “one martini,” ignored a stop sign and drove on the wrong side of the lane.

But gosh, did he end up making one. You’d think it’d end with the “this is going to ruin the tour” memes, but no.

Justin Timberlake’s – Mugshot Becomes “Most Contemporary Piece” In the Romany Kramoris Gallery in Sag Harbor

Timberlake’s mugshot has been immortalized as an art piece, titled “Tuesday Night Out Featuring Justin Timberlake,” by artist Godfrey Lohman.

The piece is currently on display at the Romany Kramoris Gallery in Sag Harbor, NY, and apparently, since its debut it has been receiving a lot of attention.

“My reaction was, ‘Oh my God! That’s great! It’s just great!’” gallery owner Romany Kramoris told Page Six of how the art piece made her feel the first time she set her eyes on it. She also shared how “a lot of people are coming back” after spotting it in the window. So far the gallery has sold “two or three” of the works, which are priced at $520.

Speaking on the art’s reception and its purpose in the gallery, Gallery employee Leslie Raff shared, “[Timberlake’s mugshot] is our most contemporary piece! It’s au courant.”

The viral mugshot was taken after Timberlake was pulled over after he ran a stop sign and drove on the wrong lane.

According to the police at the time, Timberlake smelled of alcohol when he was pulled over.

“His eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests,” the one-page filing by prosecutors, which was based on the sworn statements of Sag Harbor Police Officer Michael D. Arkinson, read.

In his counter-claim, Timberlake claimed to have only drunk “one martini” before following his friends home.

While the internet seemed to be fixated by Timberlake’s wild Tuesday night out, Timberlake quickly moved on from it to concentrate on his tour.

He did make an allusion to it during a show he performed in Chicago following the arrest: “We’ve been together through ups and downs, lefts and rights,” he said. “It’s been a tough week, but you’re here, and I’m here.”
