Kanye West Believes He Helped Taylor Swift’s Career

The Super Bowl LVIII which took place at Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, on February 11, 2020, made headlines, especially with Usher’s ground-breaking performance.

However, after the show, rumors began making rounds that Kanye West who has had a long-time beef with Taylor Swift arrived at the show but was sent out by the “Bad Blood” singer with a “call or two.”

It was also rumored that Taylor had Kanye removed from the stadium after the rapper bought his ticket in front of her suit.

At first, Kanye made no effort to deny the rumors, rather, a few hours after, he took to his Instagram to announce that his latest album “Vulture” vol.1 has topped the charts on Spotify. His post read, “Kanye West has overtaken Taylor Swift as the top artist globally on Spotify.” The post came with a picture of him and Taylor.

Later on, a representative for the “Donda” rapper, 46, shut down the rumor and told “Forbes” in a statement, “This is a completely fabricated rumor. It is not true.” Anyway, Kanye finally broke his silence on the issue and set the record straight.

Taking to his Instagram, he addressed the rumors in all caps. He began with, “TO ALL TAYLOR SWIFT FANS I’M NOT YOUR ENEMY. UUUM I’M NOT YOUR FRIEND EITHER THOUGH LOL.”

He went on to say, “REMEMBER I WAS ON TAYLOR’S SIDE WHEN SCOOTER BOUGHT HER MASTERS BEHIND HER BACK,” and to further buttress his initial statement about not being an enemy, he wrote, “SHE AND BEYONCÉ ARE BIG INSPIRATIONS TO ALL MUSICIANS WE ALWAYS SAY HOW BOTH SELL OUT TOURS AND MOVIES.”

The dad of four then claimed, “I’M SURE I’VE BEEN FAR MORE HELPFUL TO TAYLOR SWIFT’S CAREER THAN HARMFUL.” As for his whereabouts at the 2024 Super Bowl, the “Graduation” rapper denied being kicked out of the stadium and explained that he and his wife, “LEFT OUR SEATS TO GO TO YG’S BOX AND SEE DIFFERENT FRIENDS,” he wrote. “MY WIFE [BIANCA CENSORI] HAD NEVER BEEN TO A SUPER BOWL SO I WANTED TO WALK AROUND AND HAVE A NICE TIME. WE HAD SUCH A FUN DAY.”

Before concluding his lengthy writeup, he explained his latest song “Carnival” in which he name-dropped Taylor in one of the songs in his latest album “Vulture.”

He wrote, “WHEN I SAID THAT I’M THE NEW JESUS BITCH I WASN’T EVEN THINKING ABOUT TAYLOR SWIFT. THAT WAS A WHOLE LINE BEFORE BUT I APPRECIATE THE FREE PROMO. LIL WAYNE ACTUALLY MENTIONS TRAVIS [KELCE] ON VULTURES 2. THIS ALBUM IS ACTUALLY SUPER POSITIVE AND FUN IT’S ALL ABOUT TRIUMPHANT.”

Kanye collaborated with TY Dolla $ign on the album, and they are now known as ¥$. On February 10, 2024, “Vulture” vol.1 was released, and among the list songs in it is “Carnival.” In the lyrics, Kanye raps, “Why she say she sucked my d—? / Then she say she ain’t sucked my d— / She gon’ take it up the a– / Like a ventriloquist / I made six Taylor Swift / Since I had the Rollie on the wrist.”

Although Taylor’s name was not the only name he mentioned, he also mentioned Elon Musk, R. Kelly, and Bill Cosby. “Elon, where my rocket ship? / It’s time to go home,” he raps. “They served us the porn (Ha) / Since the day we was born (Ha) / Anybody pissed off (Ha) / Gotta make ’em drink the urine (Ha) / Now I’m Ye-Kelly, bitch (Ha) / Now, I’m Bill Cosby, bitch (Ha) / Now, I’m Puff Daddy rich (Ha) / That’s #MeToo me rich (Ha).”
