Kanye West won’t let joining TikTok prevent him from posting on Instagram. And in his own inimitable style, the rapper once again shocked his Instagram followers with his post. But did West finally go too far in comparing himself to Moses?
Find out how Kanye’s fans reacted to the Biblical comparison. And learn about the mystery surrounding his new private school. Get all the details below.
Kanye West Compares Himself To Moses On Instagram
Instagram followers of Kanye West just learned that the rapper believes his life seems like Moses. And he did so in an Instagram Story that indicated those close to him worry about his lack of sleep. To respond to those concerned about the 45-year-old, West wrote, “No one asked Moses how much he slept.”
Fans reacted with various theories. For instance, one Reddit commentator noted, “I could actually see that happening as one of his spiritual awakenings . Sometimes he does give culty vibes.” But others expressed concern.

For example, one of West’s followers responded, “There’s nothing wrong with getting a good night of rest Ye 🤷♀️.” And another noted, “Honestly the work all day/grind culture that promotes not sleeping and competing to see who sleeps the least is toxic and outdated af at this point. It also has been proven to have a negative effect on productivity in the long run, not to mention serious medical impacts down the line.”
But some thought that West’s Instagram might result from his mental health issues. For instance, one follower pointed out, “Kanye has Bipolar disorder, which can cause him to experience prolonged episodes of mania. In these episodes, people often don’t feel tired or like they need to sleep. It may well be that medical staff or family and friends are asking about his sleeping schedule to try and determine if he is entering or in a manic episode. Another side effect of mania is having a huge ego and seeing yourself in a ‘god-like’ way, i.e. comparing yourself to religious heroes like Moses.”
Kanye West Requires NDAs At His Mysterious Private School
However, those who feel that Kanye sometimes behaves like a cult leader may want to investigate the rapper’s new private school. Requiring that families sign non-disclosure agreements (NDA), the new Donda Academy in California has cultivated an aura of mystery around his educational facility. West named his private Christian prep school after his late mother, Donda, according to the New York Post.

Students attend worship sessions and classes ranging from math to film and parkour. And West chose the uniforms from his own designs. Charging $15,000-per-year tuition, the school includes celebrity students, such as R&B singer Keyshia Cole’s son Daniel. However, the school still did not get accredited. As a result, students hoping to graduate and attend college may face challenges. In addition, Kanye hired a principal and executive director, 28-year-old Brianne Campbell, who allegedly never worked as an educator.
