Kanye West Expresses His Feelings About His Custody Battle With Kim In New Song ‘True Love’

Breakup is one of the hardest things to experience in the journey of life, then divorce. I mean, before you talk about divorcing someone, there’s got to be a breakup. Whether it be consensual or not, you don’t really move past it that easily. Take for instance Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, these two were married for nearly seven years before they split.

Now, although each of them are trying to move on by meeting and dating other people, just as Kim Kardashian is dating former SNL comedian Pete Davidson, Kanye, on the other hand, has been spotted multiple times with Julia Fox, and Chaney Jones on different occasions.

While it appears that Kim has fully moved on and is enjoying her life with her newfound love, Pete, it seems Kanye hasn’t fully moved on. I mean, with their divorce issues yet to be finalized and the custody battle ongoing, Kanye, 44, has expressed how he truly feels about the whole thing in his new song “True Love” which he did with late rapper XXXTentacion, on Friday, May 27.

Kanye West — About The Song “True Love”

Kanye wasted no time in making his feelings known about how he feels when it comes to visiting his four kids — North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3.

Kanye dropped these lyrics in the first verse — “Wait, when you see the kids? I’ll see y’all tomorrow. Wait, when the sunset? I see ya’ll tomorrow. Wait, when I pick ’em up? I feel like they borrowed.”

Kanye went on to rap, “When I gotta return them, scan ‘em like a bar code/ Wait, no hard feelings, but these feelings hard though/ Wait, who got the kids in those ‘What are those?’”

After a couple of lines referencing Nike sneakers, West returned to rapping about his four children with the 41-year-old “Kardashians” star.

“I only see three kids, who watchin’ Chicago?” he asked. “And you know all the nannies said, ‘Daddy in Nebraska’/ Let the kids dig a tunnel to my house like Chapo.”

Back in January, Kanye released a track that was littered with references to Kim. He also famously aimed at her boyfriend, Pete Davidson.

The “Donda” rapper collaborated with The Game in “Eazy,” in which Kanye conjured up his ongoing divorce with Kardashian, their four children, the SNL comedian, and his new flame at the time, Julia Fox. Kanye appears in the second verse and raps, “We havin’ the best divorce ever. If we go to court, we’ll go to court together. Matter of fact, pick up your sis, we’ll go to Kourt’s together.”

But the lyric that raised eyebrows came later. In referencing his near-fatal 2002 car crash, Kanye spits, “God saved me from that crash. Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s a**.” Immediately following that line, a woman’s voice eerily reminiscent to Kardashian echoes, “Who?”

Shortly after dropping “Eazy,” Kanye also released the music video, which featured Kanye kidnapping and burying a claymation figure that resembled the comedian
