Kanye West Has Once Again Name-Dropped Taylor Swift In His New Song

Who knows if Kanye West made a pact of some sort with someone who we don’t know, that he’ll never let Taylor Swift be? I mean, it’s been over a decade since the “Donda” rapper first humiliated the “Blank Space” singer, yet, he doesn’t want to cut it out.

Just when we thought Kanye was over his beef with Taylor, he proved us wrong. He has once again name-dropped Taylor in one of the songs in his latest album “Vulture.” Kanye collaborated with TY Dolla $ign on the album, and they are now known as ¥$. On February 10, 2024, “Vulture” vol.1 was released, and among the list songs in it is “Carnival.”

In the lyrics, Kanye raps, “Why she say she sucked my d—? / Then she say she ain’t sucked my d— / She gon’ take it up the a– / Like a ventriloquist / I made six Taylor Swift / Since I had the Rollie on the wrist.” Although Taylor’s name was not the only name he mentioned, he also mentioned Elon Musk, R. Kelly, and Bill Cosby.

“Elon, where my rocket ship? / It’s time to go home,” he raps. “They served us the porn (Ha) / Since the day we was born (Ha) / Anybody pissed off (Ha) / Gotta make ’em drink the urine (Ha) / Now I’m Ye-Kelly, bitch (Ha) / Now, I’m Bill Cosby, bitch (Ha) / Now, I’m Puff Daddy rich (Ha) / That’s #MeToo me rich (Ha).”

Kanye West — On Kanye And Taylor’s Beef

As was mentioned earlier, the “Graduation” rapper and the “Bad Blood” singer’s beef is over a decade old. It dates as far back as 2009 when Kanye interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech when she won the 2009 “MTV Video Music Awards for her “You Belong with Me.”

Before Taylor could say Jack, Kanye bounced up the stage and snatched the microphone off Taylor’s hands, and said, “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you and Imma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!”

As if that wasn’t enough, Kanye humiliated Taylor once again at VMAs in 2015. The following year, 2016, the 46-year-old released his song “Famous” and in the lyrics he rapped, “For all my South Side n****s that know me best/ I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.” That line didn’t sit well with the “22” hitmaker and she made it clear to him.

However, Kanye claimed that before dropping the song, he made Taylor aware of it via phone call but the 34-year-old maintained that he didn’t tell her about the “I made that bitch famous” line. Back then, Kim Kardashian who was still married to Kanye released a record of the said call, and Taylor could be heard saying, “I’m really glad you had the respect to call me that and tell me that as a friend, about the song. It’s just a really cool thing to do, and a really good show of friendship.”

In a 2019 interview with “Rolling Stone,” the “Cruel Summer” singer told the outlet, “When he gets on the phone with me, and I was so touched that he would be respectful and, like, tell me about this one line in the song… And I was like, ‘Okay, good. We’re back on good terms,’ and then when I heard the song, I was like, ‘I’m done with this. If you want to be on bad terms, let’s be on bad terms, but just be real about it.’”

Meanwhile, the real version of the call was later released in 2020, proving Taylor right about “*that call*.” She added, “You know, the one that was illegally recorded, that somebody edited and manipulated in order to frame me and put me, my family, and fans through hell for 4 years.”
