Kanye West Likens Co-Parenting With Kim Kardashian To Being In Prison

Kanye West is once again making headlines for his ongoing battle with Kim Kardashian over their four children. This time, the rapper took to social media, accusing Kim, her family, and major media corporations of restricting his parental rights.

Kanye’s recent string of posts on X (formerly Twitter) didn’t last long before being deleted, but they were enough to ignite another round of public discourse about his co-parenting struggles.

Kanye Claims He’s Being Shut Out of His Kids’ Lives

In a now-deleted rant, Kanye West expressed deep frustration over his perceived lack of control over his children’s upbringing. “Yes I have beef with people that froze my account took my kids away and tried to put me in jail AND ITS STUCK,” he wrote.

He further claimed that the so-called “Kardashian mob,” along with Hulu and Disney, had stripped him of his rights as a father.

West, who shares North (11), Saint (9), Chicago (7), and Psalm (5) with Kim, made it clear that simply “seeing” his kids wasn’t enough—he wanted to be actively involved in their lives. “I don’t want to just ‘see’ my kids. I need to raise them,” he insisted. He expressed his desire to have a say in critical decisions, including where they go to school, who their friends are, and even whether his daughters wear makeup and perfume.

Framing his situation as deeply unjust, Kanye compared his current parenting arrangement to incarceration. “Just seeing my kids is like visitation,” he wrote, later adding, “It’s like I’m in prison ‘seeing’ my kids.”

The Controversial Connection to Diddy

West’s latest tirade came just after he defended Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing serious allegations, including sex trafficking and racketeering.

Kanye not only insisted on Diddy’s innocence but also revealed plans to feature his daughter North on a track with the embattled music mogul.

Kim Kardashian, however, was reportedly against the idea and sought legal means to block the song’s release. In a leaked text exchange, Kanye told Kim he would “go to war” over the issue.

Kim responded, “I sent paperwork over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song to protect her. One person has to trademark!”

Sources close to Kardashian later told TMZ that she was concerned about North being associated with Combs, given the serious charges against him.

A Bitter Divorce and Co-Parenting Struggles

Kanye and Kim officially divorced in 2022, but their co-parenting dynamic has remained fraught with tension. Kim has previously spoken about feeling like a single parent despite Kanye’s involvement.

“Kim’s priority is the well-being and safety of her children and to protect them from being around Kanye’s controversial behavior,” an insider told Page Six.

This isn’t the first time Kanye has lashed out at his ex-wife and her family, and given his pattern of public outbursts, it likely won’t be the last. While the rapper continues to demand more control over his children’s lives, Kim seems determined to shield them from his unpredictable behavior.
