Kanye West and Kim Kardashian followers increasingly predicted that the estranged couple would never reunite. Well, toss out whatever Magic 8-Ball made that prediction! Because for a very special reason, the rapper and the reality TV star just met up once more. And while it proved awkward, it also made someone in their lives very happy.

More than a year ago, Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West. As a result, Ye (as he’s also known) has repeatedly slammed his estranged wife on social media, in music, and during interviews. And their four children (Psalm, Saint, Chicago, and North West) have gotten trapped in the middle. But even as the custody battle continues, Kim and Kanye did manage to reunite for a special reunion.

Get ready to hum The Beatles “Come Together” over Kardashian and West coming together for their son Saint. But though it appeared awkward and even tense, the two successfully co-parented for this occasion, reported People. And it all took place over a soccer game for the 6-year-old.

As for the significance, insiders viewed the event as the first time for the two to appear in public since Kim started dating “Saturday Night LIve” (SNL) comedian Pete Davidson. But for Saint, it all helped life amid his parents’ feud seem, well, almost normal. Oldest daughter North also attended the event with her famous parents.

But don’t look to this event to turn into a forever reunion. As a result of the ongoing attacks from Kanye West, Kim Kardashian reportedly still feels worried about the future. But the kids took it as a positive sign, one insider shared.

“The kids were all thrilled to see Kanye at the soccer game. They kept hugging Kanye. He looked very happy,” revealed the insider. “Kim and Kanye said hi to each other but didn’t speak otherwise. The focus was just on the kids.”

And the source also revealed that Kardashian tries to appear at all of the children’s activities. As a result of her participation, the insider calls Kim her kids’ “biggest fan. On the sideline, she looks like a regular mom. She is very sweet and engaged,” added the source. 

But Ye’s actions attacking Kim and her boyfriend Pete Davidson have made her “really upset,” according to the insider. For instance, when West created a music video showing a caricature of Pete getting kidnapped and buried alive, Kardashian felt horrified. “She thinks it’s way too violent,” noted the source. “She’s really upset with Kanye that he’d do this. She’s completely over all of this and she wants it to stop.”
