Kanye West Spent Months Attacking Kim Kardashian, Claims To Love And Protect Amid ‘Kimye’ Divorce Shocker

Kim Kardashian has survived months of verbal attacks from estranged husband Kanye West. And the mother of his four kids now protects herself by communicating only through her assistants. But in a Piers Morgan interview, Ye just painted a very different portrait of the relationship. 

And in the process, West dropped a bombshell by referring to their throwback couples’ name of Kimye. But he also revealed his insights on Kim filing for divorce. Get all the details below.

Since filing for divorce in February 2021, Kim Kardashian has become more intent on making her split from Kanye West permanent. But Ye disagrees. And the rapper, 45, made that clear in an interview with Piers Morgan on Friday. Kanye even brought up a popular name that fans used for the couple prior to Kim filing for divorce, noted Us magazine.

“I may be divorced on paper” Kanye finally admitted in a rare recognition of Kardashian’s legal move. “But I’m not divorced of the idea of being the protector,” he added. And West shocked listeners by day-dreaming out loud about a name for the two if they somehow magically reconciled.

“Her name is no longer West,” pointed out Kanye. “And my name is now only Ye. If we were ever to be together again, what would our name be? Kimye?” But he then gushed about his love for the 42-year-old. “I will love her for life.”

Kim and Kanye share North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3. But Kardashian and her family have faced repeated accusations from West, including blocking him from the kids. However, in the interview, Ye ignored his past slams and focused on his love for his estranged wife.

“And oddly enough I will protect her,” claimed Kanye. The vow comes after weeks where social media watched West repeat previous accusations about getting blocked from his children. For instance, on Instagram, West expressed anger about critics of his Yeezy season 9 show during Paris Fashion Week. And he blended that into challenging the child custody arrangement.

“So why did everyone feel so free to attack me about my T-shirt. But Candace Owens was the only public figure to say that it was wrong for the Kardashians to keep me from seeing my daughter,” posted Ye on Instagram. “And for all audience so outraged about my T-shirt. Where was you when I couldn’t see my kids. I went public in hope of public support at the time.”

But after Khloe Kardashian read the comments, she rushed to respond. And she wrote, “Ye, I love you. I don’t want to do this on social media,” added Kim’s sister. “But YOU keep bringing it here. You are the father of my nieces and nephews,” noted Khloe. 

“And I’m trying to be respectful,” added the 38-year-old. “But please STOP tearing Kimberly down and using our family when you want to deflect.” Khloe then pointed out that Ye kept repeating the same allegations, As a result, she pleaded, “Again with the birthday narrative. Enough already. We all know the truth and in my opinion, everyone’s tired of it.”

Kim and Kanye enjoyed six years of married life before Kardashian split. And she made progress in becoming legally single. But Kardashian has admitted that the two did not speak off and on for months after she filed.

“And I think in relationships, it’ll be like that,” shared Kim. “But you know, it doesn’t mean that maybe because he expressed himself in a certain way that he’s not an amazing person and amazing friend. I do believe that we’ll have that again. I’m always really hopeful.”
