The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians“ alum Kim Kardashian shared a promotional ad for the newly launched application of her clothing line SKIMS on Instagram on Thursday.
The post was captioned, “We heard you: the SKIMS App is finally here! Shop your favorite brand from your back pocket. Download now on iOS or Android.”
The ad, which was a video, featured the mom of four in an all-black body hug and skin-tight pants, with a face adorned with heavy makeup, telling her followers about the new SKIMS App. In the clip, Kim walked right into a frame and announced, “I’m so excited about our new Skims app.”
She went on to tell her followers, “It makes shopping so easy and is designed around the things we’ve heard our customers want the most.”
While speaking, snapshots of the app and its features kept appearing on the screen, all featuring Kim modeling the clothes.
She continued, “We’ve made browsing all of our collections super seamless and personalized to your preferences. Plus, with our app, we’ve launched a brand new awards program that offers benefits and perks.” Before the end of the clip, she asked her fans and customers to “download the app now and get started.”
Although the promotional ad was nothing short of good creativity, her fans believe that the reality star used AI to create the ad.

Kim Kardashian — How Fans Reacted To Kim’s SKIMS App Ad
The reason they doubted if the video was done by Kim herself was because of her voice tone and body movements. They immediately concluded that it was an ‘AI-generated’ clip. For clarity purposes, “IMB” defined AI as a technology that enables computers to simulate human intelligence and problem-solving capabilities.
Taking to the comments section, one person wrote, “Bro speaking like she’s programmed,” and another added, “Obviously the acting lessons for AHS were forgotten.” A third jokingly asked, “What in the AI is going on?” And a fourth screamed, “For real!!” Someone else asked, “Why does this look like AI?”
Another commenter maintained, “This whole ad is AI,” and someone agreed, “I swear this is AI voiceover,” the next person wrote, “Is it me or does this ad seem totally AI-generated? Even the voiceover doesn’t sound authentically her.”
These claims came after the “SKKN By Kim” founder was rumored to have gotten a facelift after she shared her makeup-free face in a video before putting SKKN face cream on. The clip was captioned, “SKNN CARE. This week only, Kim’s favorite producers are 20 percent off when you enroll in subscriptions.”
Critics took to the comments section to accuse the 43-year-old of working on her face. A critic wrote, “It helps when you have work done on your face to look younger. Anyways, good for you,” and another asked, “Another facelift?” A third quipped, “Now that’s a facelift I could never afford,” the fourth critic wrote, “Richtiviites over here. Especially that facelift.”
