Critics Point Out Kardashian’s Bad Timing And Taste
In the promo clip for the Kardashian’s new show, aptly named The Kardashians you can hear a Nina Simone song Feeling Good playing in the background. The clip was captioned, “Shatter all expectations. The Kardashians premieres April 14 on Hulu.” However, it didn’t take long for critics to call out both the Kardashians as well as Hulu for releasing the trailer during Black History Month.
Black History Month, celebrated during February, commemorates the achievements of Black people and their contributions throughout American history. One person on Twitter reflected on the family’s bad timing and taste, tweeting, “They are so sinister for this song choice and announcing it this month.”
Still another commenter jumped on the bandwagon writing, “If Nina Simone was alive today I just know she’d be repulsed that her work was being used to punctuate this awful family.”
Back To The Resurgent Racism
In the scene in question Khloe, 37, had spoken up in defense of her sister Kim, 41, after trolls accused her of appropriating back culture. Firing back at the haters Khloe reportedly said, “Hashtag fact, my baby is black. Hashtag I only like black c**k. That’s what I would say.”
When describing the hate, she was receiving she apparently use the N-word allegedly saying, “All I get called is a n****r lover all day long. Who the f**k cares?” In an old 2009, Howard Stern video Kim and Khloe were both slammed for boasting that they only had sex with Black guys.
More Revelations Of A Racist Nature
There were many more shockingly racially biased comments made by the sisters such as the one made by Kim Kardashian where she boasted “Black guys love a big a**” adding “We have such big a**es.” Apparently, Kim has been accused of “blackfishing” in the past.
The reality star shared an Instagram Story showing her hands – one with tint and the other without, captioning it, “Body makeup is perfect for hands bc my hands are always pale & our formula is waterproof so you can wash your hands! We used color Light/Medium.” Now as harmless as that story seemed, a fan was compelled to point out that “It must be so exhausting having to tint your skin darker every time you do a shoot or something.”
Be sure and stay caught up with the Kardashians, check out their new show releasing April 19, and return here often for more spoilers, news, and updates.
