According to her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, Kate failed to prepare her daughter, Hannah, for the sale of her family house. While speaking on Dr. Oz Show late in 2020, Jon said Kate only sent Hannah a text message to inform her of the sale.
Kate Gosselin Is Abandoning Four Children
According to a source, the reality star is moving with her children so they can spend their junior and senior years on a new, clean slate. This means that Kate only moved with four out of her sextuplets- Leah, Joel, Alexis, and Aaden. The other two — Hannah and Collin have been with their father for years.
The family’s twenty-year-old twins, Mady and Cara are in College and would not be moving with their mother and siblings. This move will cause even more rift between the already split family.
“The two girls are in no rush to go to North Carolina. They weren’t happy about the move because they have no friends there,” the source explained.

Late put up her family home for sale in October 2020. According to sources, she wanted to sell the house for $1.2million but later sold it for around $1.1million. The home was an essential part of the family. The children grew up with both parents in the house and it also appeared of the Jon & Kate Plus 8.
The palatial mansion has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a swimming pools amidst other conveniences. It also sits on twenty-three acres of private land. The couple purchased the house in 2008 just a year before their divorce in 2009.

A month after Kate put the house up for sale, Jon went on the Dr. Oz Show to talk about how traumatized Hannah felt when she heard about the sale. Jon said Kate had not even extended her daughter the courtesy of a call to ask if she wanted anything from her childhood home. The sixteen-year-old went through a rough patch, Jon said.
Hannah and her brother, Collin have been with Jon for over a year. According to Jon, Kate has not been in contact with both of them for a while. Jon also said he is not allowed to go near his other six children.
Last Thanksgiving, Kate had a family dinner but with an incomplete family. Only twin daughters and the other four children that live with her were present. Hannah and Collin spent the holiday with their father, his girlfriend, and her kids. According to Jon, he hopes his other kids will reach out to him and their siblings someday but that might not happen anytime soon.

In September 2020, there was an altercation between Jon and Collin which resulted in a 911 call. Jon said he only restrained his son in a chair. He explained that the boy’s condition is Kate’s fault because she gave him PTSD by taking him to a facility for children with special needs without any probable cause.
