Katherine Heigl Spills “Juicy” Details About “Firefly Lane”

If you’re thinking that “Firefly Lane’s” second season will disappoint, Katherine Heigl wants you to stop thinking it, because this round will take care of the questions you’ve been having. Starting with why Tully and Kate’s beautiful friendship has been fractured.

What’s Up With Tully And Kate Heigls’ Mysterious Feud?

On Monday, November 28, Katherine Heigl appeared on the Today Show and addressed the rift between her onscreen character Tully Hart and Kate Mularkey (played by Sarah Chalke).

The finale episode of the first season ended in what is generally known as a cliffhanger. While we spent the season loving the friendship between Kate and Tully, their mysterious feud towards the end of the movie deserves an explanation.

Luckily, Katherine Heigl gave fans a little relief when she said that viewers will “learn” what went on between the two friends.

“Yes, you will learn,” the 44-year-old actress told the outlet about the suspenseful episode that rounded out the first season.

“These first nine [episodes] that are going to drop, you will discover what it is that has really fractured that relationship,” she said. “It’s pretty big, it’s pretty juicy.”

All the Drama In “Firefly Lane’s” First Season

In early 2021, “Firefly Lane’s” season 1 debuted as the number one show on Netflix.

The series follows two women in their 40s, who grew up as neighbors and best friends, as they navigate their lives. After spending a lifetime knowing each other, their friendship has evolved into something more special.

They become each other’s rock at their most desperate times, despite the fact that their lifestyles are very different: Kate is a mother struggling with a rocky marriage and Tully is a famous talkshow host.

The first season told their story through a series of flashbacks to their teen years (in which Tully is played by Alissa Skovbye and Kate is played by Roan Curtis) and glimpses into their future. However, surprisingly, the first season ends with fans learning that present day Kate and Tully are no longer on speaking terms.

“Firefly Lane” Season 2 premiered on Friday, December 2 on Netflix.
