Katie Feeney, already popular on Instagram and TikTok, just landed a new job with ESPN, and she can’t believe it’s really happening. The influencer with 7.6 million TikTok followers and 1.3 million fans on Instagram seems to be a popular choice for sports fans.
The New Position Was Confirmed This Week
TikTok turned out useful for those lucky few who end up as top-tier creators, and now Katie Feeney joins the ranks of those boosted by their hard work on the platform. The Sun US confirmed that ESPN confirmed her appointment in a statement.
The outlet cited ESPN’s “Senior Vice President, Digital, Social and Streaming Content,” Kaitee Daley, who sounded excited about the new direction. The exec said:
Katie has built an impressive and authentic connection with sports fans by blending access, personality, and Gen-Z culture in a way that feels fresh and engaging

She talked about how Katie Feeney’s “creativity” is a “perfect match” for “ESPN’s daily coverage.” Additionally, it seems like a good move for fans of sports. She added, “we’re reimagining coverage to meet fans where they are, and we can’t wait to see the energy she brings.”
It Doesn’t Feel Real Yet
Katie Feeney also confirmed her appointment, but in a TikTok post on Monday this week, she told her fans, “Girl bossed so hard, now I work for ESPN.” However, she added, “It doesn’t feel real yet! I can’t wait!!” Aptly, she set it to Ozzy Osbourne’s song, “No More Tears.”
To say that fans are excited for the influencer is an understatement, as many comments arrived on the post. And most of them shouted her out to the high heavens. As far as they are concerned, ESPN couldn’t have made a better choice for their content creator.
