Keanu Reeves Shuts Down Rumors He’s Returning For Another John Wick Installment

Keanu Reeves Gives A Blunt Answer Over the Future of One of His Biggest Franchises

Keanu Reeves’ lethal assassin character in John Wick is no more. While we saw him die with our own eyes at the end of the fourth movie, I can at least admit that the way it was arranged is enough to assure fans that there’s a tiny gleam of hope he isn’t “dead dead.”

Well, turns out he really is, and Keanu Reeves wants us to really move on… to the movie’s wonderful spinoffs, if you like.

Reeves gave his blunt answer during an interview with Extra TV, where he crushed fans’ hope for another John Wick installment with the simple answer, “You know, the character’s dead. He died in ‘John Wick Chapter 4.”

When the argument was brought up that Wick certainly wouldn’t be the only dead character that Hollywood has managed to successfully bring back to life, he replied, “Right now? Right now there isn’t.”

In a prior interview, Reeves had opted to leave a sliver of the door open, instead of firmly shutting it the way he did during his Extra TV interview.

He told CBS News that while he isn’t totally averse to reprising his beloved character, his physical limitations might keep him from stepping into the hitman’s shoes again in the future. “You can never say never. My knees right now are saying, ‘I can’t do another John Wick.’ So my heart does, but I don’t know if my knees can do it.”

Get this, ‘John Wick: Chapter Four’ isn’t the last we’ll be seeing Reeves portray his titular character. You may not know this but he is set to reprise his role in the upcoming spinoff, ‘Ballerina.’

“There’s a version of it called ‘Ballerina,’ which is in the John Wick world. And John Wick makes a brief appearance,” Reeves teased.
