Kelly Clarkson Spills On Quarantine With Her Kids

Kelly Clarkson news reveals that the singer and talk show host is talking about what it’s like to be a single parent quarantining with her two kids, daughter River, 7, and son Remy, 5. The effervescent talk show host appeared on her show remotely and there was no doubt that she was at home—she wore a green robe and appeared with no makeup. Brave lady!

She told guest host and Empire actress Taraji P. Henson, “Sometimes women don’t rise. Sometimes we fall. I thought we were done with quarantining, and I’m so tired. I broke a nail. I’m so broken. This is me broken.”

Kelly Is A Trooper In Quarantine

Clarkson told Henson, “I’m not even sick. It’s so weird. Anyway, we’re keeping it safe and that’s it.” Clarkson did not specify if she had been exposed to, or tested positive, for COVID-19 and Henson didn’t ask. Henson is also a mother and she made sure to send fellow mom Clarkson a virtual hug.

The ladies were keeping it real in the morning, with Henson telling Kelly, “It’s OK if you have wine in that mug. We’ll pretend that it’s coffee.”

So what has Kelly been doing during her down time? She said that she and her kids have been streaming Disney’s “Encanto,” and “Ghostbusters: Afterlife.”

She said, “When I watch a movie with my children, it’s like watching three movies.” That’s because Remy sings all the songs, and River repeats the lines, “like she’s memorizing dialogue for a play.”

It was also noted that Clarkson’s house is still decorated for the holidays. The funny talk show host said, “Look, it’s busy, there’s a lot going on. I have all my stuff up. [Show producers] asked me, ‘Do you have your Christmas stuff up?’ And I’m like, ‘Don’t judge me!’”

Clarkson shares her two kids with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. Along the way, the happy mom spilled about Remy’s eating habits. “He only eats beige,” she said. “French fry is his food group. He likes French fries, that’s it.” The she added, “It’s the funniest thing ever, because his dad is a rancher, but he’s kind of against meat. He found out that you kill the animal. He’ll look at me, and he’ll be like, ‘Is this an animal?’”
