Kelly Clarkson – Says It Has Been Hard to Navigate
In her interview, she stated, “Everybody knows the huge divorce I went through and it’s been, like two years and not easy with kids,” Kelly started. “I’m just navigating what I’m comfortable with releasing. So, it’s just a hard thing to navigate. It’s coming. I just got to get my crap together. I just got to figure out what I’m going to release. I’ve never had this difficult of a project.”
Clarkson was one of the top winners at the 49th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards held on June 24, 2022. Her Emmy award-winning daytime talk show, Kelly has kept her pretty busy. So busy that she hasn’t released an album since 2017. Her last release was that of Meaning of Life which took place in 2017. She however also released a Christmas album in 2021 called When Christmas Comes Around.
Given that it has been quite a while since fans got new music from her, they are looking forward to it with great anticipation. But, her being busy with her daytime television talk show is not the only contributing factor to her music being at a setback. Her divorce from Brandon Blackstock is the next contributing factor, another reason there has been no new music.

Kelly filed for divorce from Brandon back in June of 2020. This is after nearly seven years of marriage. The couple got married in 2013 and share two kids – daughter River and son Remington. The former couple reached a settlement in their divorce in March 2022, but Brandon recently made a new request in the courts.
Clarkson has won numerous awards for her daytime talk show and has been crowned the best daytime TV talk show host. We will keep you posted on if and when she has new music coming out. In the meantime, be sure to check out her popular talk show.
