The controversy started with Sharon who mentioned it over a decade ago. In fact she even wrote about it in her memoir, Sharon Osbourne Extreme: My Autobiography. Then in 2023 during the Osbournes Podcast, she touched on it again. She mentioned assisted suicide in Switzerland. That was if they ended up with bad Alzheimer’s.
Well, it seems that despite Sharon addressing it more than once, Kelly Osbourne is very unhappy because she feels the media are sensationalizing it, per The Express. The article arrived after Kelly Osbourne vented about it on social media.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kelly made it very clear she’s had enough. She said:
Stop making articles or posts about how you think my parents are having a suicide pact. That was bulls‑t my mom said to get attention one time. And my dad’s not dying. Stop!
She continued her rant by referring to an AI‑generated video purporting Ozzy saying, “I’m going to die.” So her response was harsh. She added, “What the f‑k is wrong with you people? … He’s not dying! Yes, he has Parkinson’s… but he’s not f‑king dying.”
Sharon’s Comments and Context
Sharon’s earlier statements were not about an imminent pact but rather about a hypothetical planning in the event of irreversible cognitive decline. In the 2023 podcast, she smiled and said, “Mental suffering is enough pain without physical. So if you’ve got mental and physical, [then] see ya.” So, she seemed to confirm that if necessary, then euthanasia “was still a plan.”

The subject started way back in 2007 when Sharon Osbourne had seen her own dad suffer for a very long time from debilitating illness. As far as Kelly is concerned, folks are now exaggerating her mom’s comments for clicks. People and E! News carried their stories about how she feels it’s all blown out of proportion.
Fiercely Loyal
Kelly seems to be very loyal to her parents, and she did clap back when a hoax about Ozzy’s death arrived. He also denied, unsurprisingly, that he was dead. Mind you, he hasn’t been very well for quite some time now.
During his final concert, his daughter made him happy because she and her boyfriend, Sid Wilson, got engaged at his Black Sabbath gig. Many people thought that was very sweet. Now the curtain has come down on his gigs, the former rock star is planning a quiet rural retirement, not a suicide with Sharon at his side.
