Love them or hate them, there’s no denying that the Osbourne family always stick up for one another, for better or for worse. In fact, Kelly Osbourne couldn’t help but speak out in defense of her mother Sharon Osbourne after she was ousted from The Talk following her heated and emotional debate with Sheryl Underwood back in March. As many fans know by now, Sharon Osbourne was given the boot after she seemingly tried to defend her good friend Piers Morgan following allegations that he made racist comments about Meghan Markle. The conversation certainly didn’t go in Sharon’s favor, as Sheryl later stated that she’s suffered from PTSD because of their on-screen debate.

And while Sharon Osbourne has managed to walk away from The Talk with a hefty payout, her daughter Kelly Osbourne says it’s time that people stop getting canceled for some of the mistakes they make in public. Instead, Kelly thinks that re-education is needed.

In an interview with Extra, Kelly said, “I didn’t know what was really going on in this country because I just thought that simply being not racist was enough. It’s not, it’s actually not, you have to be actively not racist and educate yourself and learn, and don’t be afraid to make a mistake, everybody’s so afraid of cancel culture.”

The Project Runway Junior judge added, “I say f— cancel culture, it’s all about counsel culture… educate people, teach people… a gentle nudge in the right direction is so much better than a public execution.”

Is Sharon Starting Her Own Talk Show?

Sharon Osbourne also told Bill Maher last week that she is feeling pretty bitter over everything that has happened to her so far, but at the same time, she stresses that this won’t be the last that fans will hear from her. Reports have indicated that ratings for The Talk have plummeted since Sharon’s departure, as more people are tuning out than in now that she’s gone.
