Kevin Costner Has Been Having A Very Hard Time Since His Divorce

Poor Kevin Costner! Never thought those words would ever be put together in a sentence, but here we are2024, and Kevin Costner is having a bad time of it.

The Yellowstone Star is not only dealing with bad luck on his original movie Horizon: An American Saga, but he was recently written off of Yellowstone, and now amid his divorce from his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner, he has found out that she is dating his former friend, Josh Connor, and they are moving toward marriage! It is said on life that you can’t win ‘em all and it seems that Costner is finding this out the extremely hard way,

Josh Knows He Can Give Her What Kevin Didn’t.

To add insult to injury, Costner’s friends are now saying that Josh Connor could give Christine Baumgartner what Kevin couldn’t. What did they mean by that? It certainly can’t be financial considering he is legally obligated to pay Baumgartner $63,000 a month in child support as well as a substantial settlement.

Friends are saying that toward the end of the relationship, Costner felt like he was nothing more than a bank account to her and that his money is being used to finance her new life without him.

A very lonely realization if you think about it. How did they meet? Their daughters who were 13 at the time introduced them, but it is said that Costner and Connor go back even further.

Feeling Sick

According to friends, now that Kevin knows the couple’s full intentions, it makes him feel sick. He never got an apology from Connor, and if someone is your friend to begin with one would think that they would apologize when they have hurt you deeply, but not here.

Like anyone else in this situation, Costner wants some level of closure but is finding that that is difficult. “Kevin feels like he’s been stabbed in the back.” And rightly so, storylines like this are usually saved for night time soaps, not regular people’s lives, but again, here we are.

Blindsided With Divorce Papers

Costner thought he was over his ex-wife, but then she blindsided him with divorce papers, causing a whole slew of emotions. It’s starting to really take its toll on the actor, and according to sources close to him, he is fixating on just what went wrong and where, not only in his personal life but professionally as well.

After getting his character written out of Yellowstone, his passion project Horizon, was a box office failure, even after he invested $38 million of his own personal funds in the film. Indeed, people hit rough spots in life but 2024 has definitely not been kind to Kevin Costner. Perhaps 2025 will be his year. Stay tuned!!!
