Kieran Culkin Has One Request For Appearing On Broadway And It’s A Sweet One

You know, last we had a baby update from Culkin, he had won his first Oscar for his beautiful performance in Jesse Eisenberg’s ‘A Real Pain.’

During his speech, he alerted us to the fact that he had a standing deal with his wife that they’d have another baby if he brings home an Oscar.

He brought home the Oscar, so does this mean baby number three’s going to be announced soon? My baby powder is ready when you are.

Kieran Culkin Says It’s Important For Him To Be A Dad First

An actor’s life can easily seem glamorous and filled with shiny red carpets and crazy after-parties, but at the heart of all this is the inevitable time they have to spend away from home. Whether it’s filming a movie in a new location or traveling to promote said movie, the job is nearly never done.

But Broadway? That may just take the cake and eat it too when it comes to keeping a star busy. However, Culkin has found a way around its most challenging obstacle and it’s not negotiable.

He recently shared his feelings about being a Broadway dad with fellow Succession alum Sarah Snook, during their segment of Variety’s Actors on Actors.

“I’ve asked lots of people that have like young kids, … because I thought being on a schedule would be really good,” he told Snook. “They’re like ‘No, you’ll never see your kids,’ like especially if your kids are in school, which is why I asked if I could get Sundays off for that reason, so I could have one dedicated day to be a dad a week.”

“Yeah, we have Mondays,” Snook, who welcomed her baby with husband Dave Lawson in May 2023, put in.

Culkin currently stars on Broadway in ‘Glengarry Glen Ross,’ while Snook is in ‘The Portrait of Dorian Gray.’

Jazz Charton Jokes “Baby Pacts” Help Fuel Kieran Culkin’s Desire To Be The Best

We all get motivated by different things that may seem silly to some people, but not to us. For Culkin, it’s baby talk.

Following his iconic Oscar win and his even more iconic Oscar speech, his wife Charton took to Instagram to celebrate the big win.

She wrote: “AN OSCAR?!!!! Okay okay hear me out – making empty baby pacts may seem foolish but it’s clearly been a great motivator,” she wrote. “Would he have come this far if I hadn’t kept promising him more kids if he won awards?….. Probably. But who’s to say?”

Who’s to say indeed.
