Kim Kardashian’s Parenting Fail
Kim Kardashian admitted one of her parenting mistakes. She agrees that her ten-year-old daughter North West shouldn’t be on social media. However, she still films with her daughter on their joint TikTok account. Kanye has criticized Kim for allowing their kids to use social media.
She talked about her parenting failure in an interview with Vogue Italia. Kim claims to keep her daughter’s social media activity in check. Yet, she finds it difficult to navigate. Kim explained why she appears in North’s videos on TikTok.
“In a perfect world would they be on social media? No, but my eldest daughter is light and playful about it,” Kim Kardashian told the magazine. “She just genuinely loves to do videos with me. As things come up, we’ll have those conversations.”
The SKIMS founder shared that North doesn’t use social media on her phone. She won’t even allow her to access TikTok. That’s the reason why she allows North to appear in her videos with her. Kim also makes sure that North isn’t always on her phone.

“She also has weeks without being on her phone and is not a dependent person on her phone,” Kim Kardashian continued. “If she was, I would be a little more concerned.”
Admits to TikTok Mistakes
This comes after Kim’s interview in Time’s 2023 issue. She admitted one of the mistakes she made with one of North’s TikTok videos. She ended up taking it down because of the criticism she received. Kim talked about the time when she invited rapper Ice Spice to her house and allowed her to film with her daughter.
“As soon as I saw the words, I was like, ‘Oh no, we’re talking this down,'” Kim Kardashian explained. “I saw that on the internet, people saying, ‘Kanye was right,’ and maybe he was in the instance.”

Still, the 42-year-old feels it’s important for North to have some access to social media. She only allows her to post through her phone. Kim maintains that North “loves making slime videos and doing her little hair tutorials, and I will fight for her to be creative.”
Kanye has come around to North’s social media habits. At first, he wasn’t as supportive. He felt she was too young to be on TikTok. Now, he believes that his ex-wife is “being reasonable” with the content they post.
