Kim Kardashian was traumatized by a stalker after she was robbed by a gang of seven in Paris, France, in 2016. The perpetrators of the crime were arrested and then convicted in a French court on Friday. However, they won’t serve any prison time. Read on to find out why.
No Time Behind Bars For Robbers
Kim experienced a very scary time when the robbers, who included a woman, tied her up in her hotel room in Paris. The cops moved fast, and three months after their crime, they were arrested. It’s taken nearly eight years for their guilty conviction. However, on May 24, The Sun US reported that they won’t face time behind bars in prison.
The outlet reported that there were two reasons for the decision by Judge De Pas. Firstly, they have already served some time in jail, which counts towards their conviction. Moreover, they are elderly now. The outlet cited the judge as saying:
It would have been unjust to take you to prison this evening. You caused trauma, probably in a lasting way, but [you] rebuilt your lives and [have] taken steps to reintegrate.

Apparently, he feels that the “age” of the robbers (60s and 70s) was a factor. Furthermore, he had some “health” concerns.
Ill Health Is Punishment?
The health issues relate to one of them now being “deaf” and in their 60s. He was the mastermind. Meanwhile, another member of the gang, who is 72, “has Parkinson’s disease and had recent heart surgery.” At the same time, 69-year-old Didier Dubreucq suffers from “lung cancer” after smoking a lot.
The sentences seem to be low, and the punishment seems not to fit the crime, much to the delight of the defendant’s lawyer. However, according to the outlet, Kim Kardashian feels that it’s a good thing that “justice was served.”
Lots of The Loot Was Not Recovered

The value of the loot taken from Kim was valued at more than $10 million. It included an engagement ring that Kim got from Kanye West when they still loved each other. That item alone was reportedly worth $4 million. That object has never been found.
All of the robbers are now back at home where they can live out the rest of their lives. Kim recalled that she felt “terrified” during the robbery, and she was convinced that they would “Shoot” her.

When Kim Kardashian spoke about the guilty conviction, many people weighed in with their thoughts. One of them said in the comments section, “Well, I’m glad it’s over with so Kim can move on with her publicity stunt life and definitely needs to keep her wealth off social media.”
One viewer opined, “I don’t wish that experience on anyone. It has to be horrific.” However, they tempered that by adding, “I still find her to be vacuous and of little interest.”
