Kim Kardashian Gets Slammed By Khloe Over Controversial Variety Interview

The Kardashians have already commenced shooting of the second season of their Hulu’s reality tv The Kardashians. In the new trailer released, Kim Kardashian can be seen discussing what happened in the Variety Interview 5 months ago, March, and Khloe isn’t sympathetic to Kim one bit.

For clarity purposes, in the interview with Variety, Kim Kardashian was asked to offer advice to “Women In Business” but her response was eye-popping. Kim said “I have the best advice for women in business. Get your fucking ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days. You have to surround yourself with people that wanna work,” Kim added, as her family nodded in agreement. “Have a good work environment where everyone loves what they do, because you have one life. No toxic work environments.”

Not long after the interview went viral did viewers began pouring out their critics. A critic by name Geeta Minocha tweeted “It’s probably true that the Kardashians work hard, and Kim seems to have the most hustle of the bunch. But to ignore the pre-career privilege — a famous, uber-rich father & vast LA network that included Paris Hilton at her peak of fame — is tone deaf at best, offensive at worst.”

Another critic going by the name Adam Wood tweeted “It’s easy to work hard when you work for pleasure rather than survival, when you’re free to take a vacation or a mental health day whenever you like, without the worry of losing your home, or going hungry, or losing your children because you can’t provide for them.”

So, in the trailer, Kim asked Khloe if she saw the way Kim was criticized over what Kim said about “Women and Business,” Khloe replied Kim with “No one sympathizes with you.” Kim went on to tell Khloe that she was “mortified” by the outburst from the fans but also understood why they reacted to her advice the way they did. Anyways, Khloe later advised Kim to apologize to the women at the same encouraging Kim that she can do it.

After Kim saw the amount of anger her statement generated, she quickly explained while speaking with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America that her statement was taken out of context, and she answered based on the previous question she was asked which is that Kim is “famous for being famous.”

Elizabeth Wagmeister from Variety, who also conducted the interview was quick to point out that Kim’s statement was a lie that it was given with no context and that the question of “famous for being famous” was asked after her response to the “Women in business” not before. She retweeted her coworker Kate Aurthur who is Variety Editor-at-large. Kate tweeted “Every outlet going with Kim Kardashian saying her comments were ‘taken out of context,’ please do refer to the video for @EWagmeister’s story, which provides the context to the question, which was: ‘What’s your best advice for women in business?’”

Someone by name Jarett Wieselman replied saying “like… it’s clearly in context. she might have been more heated than normal if that preceding question was what she claims, but… that’s not the same thing.”

Elizabeth retweeted the reply, saying “It’s not what she claims. I just reviewed the raw footage. The question was very direct: ‘What would be your advice for women in business?’ The question about being famous for being famous came after that question, actually.”

The revelation shocked a lot of people and someone tweeted “She’s a grown woman, she needs to own her mistakes and grow from them.” Another person supported Variety and asked “How you lie on the whole company like they don’t have receipts?”
