“She blew up my internet,” the Brutalist star, 51, joked, explaining that his Instagram notifications went wild after the accidental mention. Fallon then asked if Brody is frequently mistaken for actor Adam Brody, 45, best known for The O.C.

“Since Kardashian’s post, a few people have confused us more often,” Adrien admitted. He went on to share an amusing personal encounter that happened shortly after the incident.

While dining with The Brutalist director Brady Corbet, Brody stepped away to use the restroom when a man approached him with hesitation.

“He came up to me and said, ‘I’m so sorry, my wife is much better at this than I am, but are you Adam Brody?’” Adrien recalled. “And I said, ‘Uh, Adrien Brody.’”

What happened next added to the awkwardness. Flustered by the mix-up, the man turned to leave but accidentally walked into the women’s restroom. “I told him, ‘That’s the women’s restroom,’ and he said, ‘Yes, I’m so sorry, so sorry,’” Brody added, laughing.

Meanwhile, the actual Nobody Wants This star, Adam Brody, has been enjoying the success of the Netflix series.
