At Kourtney Kardashian’s engagement party with Travis Barker, one of Kourtney’s kid sisters, Kendall Jenner, made a show that didn’t sit well with Kourtney and Kim Kardashian.
In the middle of the engagement party, Kourtney excused herself so she could call her children because their absence was affecting her, as Kourtney’s mom already explained that they were too young to attend the event that was held on a Sunday evening. Penelope had also been unwell, and Kris believed it would have been hard to explain to Kourtney’s ex-boyfriend Scott whom Kourtney shares her three children with, why he couldn’t have the kids that day.
Kim followed Kourtney and was trying to comfort her when the rest of their sisters joined them, and Kendall Jenner’s behavior in the emotional scene sparked fierce backlash online. While Kourtney tried to get hold of her oldest child, Mason, Kendall asked Khloé what Scott had said to her about the engagement after she revealed that he’d already heard about it.
Whispering as they sat just inches away from Kourtney, Khloé relayed to Kendall that Scott had said, “You guys are gonna kick me out now. I’m not involved in the family.” Khloé also said that Scott had asked why his kids weren’t there and he was told that it was because “they were too young.”
Kendall then turned to Kourtney and asked: “I haven’t spoken to you about, like, do you have sympathy for Scott? Do you have sympathy for the position that he’s in at all?” Kourtney replied that she did, Kendall snapped: “Because it doesn’t feel like you do, just as an outsider.”
Kim then noted that “He’s also had five, six years to get over this.” But Kendall argued: “Of course, but it’s always going to sting.” Kim went ahead to defend her Kourtney by telling them “Guys, are we so fucking crazy that we are talking about it now? Can we talk about this tomorrow and let them enjoy their night out there?”
Kim’s take on the matter got many fans taking on social media to criticize Kendall’s “attitude” toward her sister on such a special night.
Kim Kardashian – Some Praises From Fans To Kim Kardashian For Her Response To Kendell Kardashian
Fans took to social media to heap praises on Kim for supporting Kourtney, one person wrote “Khloe and Kendall were just being disrespectful sitting there and talking about Scott during what should have been a happy night for Kourt. This was right after Kourt saw P crying as well. Kim’s the only one who spoke up for Kourt and considered her feelings in that moment. Kim looked genuinely pissed.”
Another wrote, “Sorry but Kendall is not a good sister, like how are you gonna bring up my baby daddy (who I broke up with 5 yrs ago, and who was a terrible partner to me for 7yrs) minutes after I got engaged. thank god Kim jumped in, n shut the convo down for Kourtney.”
Writing on a Reddit forum, one person said: “This was so wrong of Kendall. Kourtney was with Scott for almost ten years, and he was the one who destroyed their relationship. He cries and wails over Kourtney but doesn’t give up drugs/alcohol to get her back. Kourtney and Scott agreed that they would get back together if he cleaned up his lifestyle, and he still refused. So after 15 or so years, [Kourtney] moved on. Scott will always be family, but he is the one who ruined that relationship.”
Another echoed “Kendall being more concerned about Scott rather than Kourtney is a problem,” another person tweeted. One more said: “Wtf? Kourtney goes above and beyond to make sure that Scott’s okay but wtf? How dare Kendall do this to her sister on the day she gets engaged? That’s really messed up.”
Kourtney Kardashian’s – Response To Kendell’s Action
Speaking in a confessional, Kourtney said of the situation: “I’m sensitive to [Scott] and his feelings and I communicate with him about the kids and I make sure that he’s good, but beyond that I just got engaged and I want to be happy and be in the moment, and I just don’t think that this moment is about Scott.”
