Kim Kardashian Ready To Leave Reality TV? Kris Jenner Says NO WAY!

Kim Kardashian Ready To Leave Reality TV? Kris Jenner Says NO WAY!After more than a decade as the central figure of the Kardashian reality TV empire, Kim Kardashian is reportedly considering stepping away from the spotlight.

But while Kim seems eager to shift her focus toward other ventures, her mother, Kris Jenner, is doing everything in her power to keep her in the game.

Kim’s Desire to Leave Reality TV Behind

Kim Kardashian’s contributions to her family’s fame are undeniable. She was the first to gain massive recognition, and in doing so, pulled her entire family into the global spotlight. But now, sources suggest that Kim may be looking to retire from reality television altogether.

One insider shared, “No one in the family likes filming the show at this point, it’s a huge pain in the butt to have cameras around all the time and to be constantly trying to churn out content” (via In Touch Weekly).

Kim’s decision seems to stem from exhaustion with being constantly filmed and a newfound dedication to building her own brand empire.

Over the past few years, she has become increasingly focused on SKIMS, her wildly successful clothing and shapewear line, as well as multiple business and legal ventures.

A Family Growing Apart from the Show

Kim isn’t the only one showing signs of fatigue. Her sister Kourtney has long expressed frustration with filming and has previously tried to walk away. Kim once opposed that move, arguing that leaving the show would hurt the family business.

Now, it appears she’s starting to feel the same way Kourtney did. Khloe, too, seems increasingly disinterested. Meanwhile, Kylie and Kendall are already thriving with their individual careers.

The collective disinterest is raising questions about whether the show has reached its natural endpoint. As the Kardashian-Jenner women invest more time into their respective ventures, the motivation to continue filming seems to dwindle.

Kris Jenner’s Relentless Fight to Keep the Show Alive

Still, Kris Jenner isn’t ready to let go. The momager is reportedly fighting tooth and nail to prevent her daughter from walking away from their Hulu reality show, The Kardashians.

“Kris goes back and forth between begging Kim and trying to scare her,” one source explained. “She’s desperate to stop her from bowing out of the show because she knows it would all fall apart without Kim.”

There’s growing concern that the family’s clout would fade without their continued presence on television. “The pressure has been building for some time and there have been clear signs the show’s in trouble as ratings decline,” another source said.

Why the Show Still Matters

Financial experts have made it clear that the reality series remains a valuable asset, serving as a promotional engine for the family’s various business ventures. “It’s been explained to them all by their business advisors that they need the show and the attention it brings to prop up all their other brands,” a source said.

The concern is that a departure from television could spell trouble for their influence online and their ability to monetize that reach. “If they are no longer on TV, the big fear is that they’d lose their clout and with it a ton of followers and ultimately their earning power,” the insider explained. “Kris loves to remind Kim of that anytime it sounds like she’s got a foot out the door.”

And when logic doesn’t work, emotion comes into play. “When that’s not working, she resorts to begging her and telling her that without her help, the whole family will lose what they’ve built,” the source added.

Kim’s Business Growth Is Front and Center

Kim isn’t just moving on — she’s leveling up. Her brand SKIMS has seen remarkable growth and acclaim. Notably, the company was recently named the official underwear partner of the NBA and WNBA. In 2025, Kim announced an even bigger partnership: a collaboration with Nike.

In an Instagram post, Kim shared her excitement: “This partnership is the culmination of that shared vision, delivering product[s] that [are] meticulously designed to sculpt and perform for everybody. Every single detail has been obsessed over and carefully considered.”

She emphasized that the partnership reflects their mutual values, including “a deep commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and pushing boundaries, driven by an unwavering belief in the power of women.”

A Mother-Daughter Marketing Moment

Amid the buzz of the NikeSKIMS launch, Kim had a playful moment with her mom. Kris posted a photo of herself in a tracksuit from Alo Yoga — a rival brand.

“Cozy days in my @Alo,” Kris wrote in the caption.

Kim responded with mock exasperation: “Did you really have to post this one the same day as my NikeSKIMS announcement?”

Kim Follows in Kris’s Footsteps as a Momager

While Kim may be thinking about leaving one role behind, she’s stepping into another — that of momager. She’s begun managing her daughter North West’s growing career, and according to insiders, Kris is delighted to pass down her wisdom.

“She’s pretty happy that Kim’s getting a taste of what it’s like and how exhausting it is. Kim’s already complaining about all the time it takes out of her own schedule and she’s asking Kris for her help,” a source revealed.
