Kim Kardashian Slid Into Cooper Koch’s DM Following His ‘Monsters’ Performance

Kim Kardashian Slid Into Cooper Koch's DM Following His 'Monsters' Performance2024 would probably be an unforgettable year for Cooper Koch; mostly because it was the year that he starred in his breakout role and even got praises from mega-superstars like SKIMS founder and reality TV Queen, Kim Kardashian. I mean, who forgets a year like that?

In his first 2025 interview, the star looked back on the tremendous year he had after ‘Monsters’ took his fame to a whole new level.

Cooper Koch Finds A Powerful Ally in Kim Kardashian

Cooper Koch has not only met and posed with Kim Kardashian, but it’s possible that they’ve exchanged more than a couple of DMs since the star’s fame skyrocketed thanks to his incredible role in ‘Monsters.’

While Koch has been in the entertainment industry for a while, his role as Erik Menéndez in Ryan Murphy’s ‘Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story’ brought him to a whole new audience.

And as if that wasn’t enough, it also earned him his very first Golden Globes nomination.

Ahead of the awards ceremony on Sunday, Jan. 5, the 28-year-old actor boldly admitted to Heather McMahan on E! Live From the Red Carpet that “life really has changed” since appearing in the successful Netflix docuseries.

“This is amazing,” he told McMahan, 37. “I’m so grateful and honored to be here. And everyone in my category’s like, insane. What a talented group of people. And I’m just honored to be next to them.”

McMahan then asked him if ‘Monsters’ had any famous fans that reached out to congratulate him about the show. To this, he happily shared that Kim Kardashian slid into his DMs to personally congratulate him on his role in the show.

“It was fun. She’s great. I love her,” he added.

Cooper Koch On Meeting the Menéndez Brothers Face-to-face After Playing Erik Menéndez in Netflix’s True-crime Series

After the show shed light on the Menéndez brothers‘ case, Koch joined Kim Kardashian, 44, her sister Khloé Kardashian, and their mom Kris Jenner to visit the Menéndez brothers at San Diego’s Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility. The brothers have been incarcerated there for over two decades for the murder of their parents.

“I was so nervous before I got there,” Koch told PEOPLE at the time. “I had spoken to both of them, so I knew we already kind of had a camaraderie, and they knew where I stood. I told them I supported them and I believed them. I had a feeling they were going to welcome me with open arms, but still so nerve-racking to meet someone who you’ve been listening to and are inspired by.”

However, meeting Erik wasn’t as nerve-racking as he’d thought it would be since they shared “an immediate connection.” “I got to hug both of them, and I sat next to Erik in this circle with all the other incarcerated individuals who were telling their stories, and they were both so kind. They’re amazing people.”
