Kim Kardashian Spooks Fans With Sultry Take On This Christmas Classic

Have you ever seen Kim K ‘Santa Baby’ it up before? No? So this is your first time? Well, you’d be so amazed by how incredibly unhinged this production is, you’d be wondering if a secret popstar hadn’t been hiding inside the reality TV queen all these years.

Kim Kardashian Releases First Song In 13 Years Along with Ultra-freaky Video

I have to confess that waking up to a press release in my mail that Kim Kardashian has released a Christmas song was not in my holiday bingo card.

But you know what I couldn’t expect in a million years was to go watch the video, only to see Kim crawling on the floor as different scenes, many of which have absolutely nothing to do with Christmas and some others which are – how shall I put it – “demonic,” are happening around her.

According to the press release, the cinematic video shows “Kim navigating a fantastical, fever-dream Christmas party.”

In the comments section, some fans seem to believe it was just a creepy ad for SKIMS and they brought on Macaulay Culkin to give it that viral boost.

Needless to say, fans were not impressed and couldn’t see the “art” in the video, even though it was directed by two Hollywood greats Nadia Lee Cohen and Charlie Denis.

One fan wrote, “Crawling on the floor like a junkie has got to be her most solid performance to death. Bravo.” Another jokingly wrote, “This is how I would expect hell to be.”

“They’re like ‘This is art. This is sexy.’ Us normal people are like this is creepy!” another wrote.

The song was produced by Kim’s brother-in-law and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, and is released in partnership with his DTA Records and Columbia Records. It also serves as Kim’s first musical release in 13 years.

While there’s very little to be cheery or inspired by in the video, and a lot to be weirded out by, Kim’s singing was actually beautiful.

But she probably won’t be taking Mariah Carey’s Queen of Christmas crown anytime soon. Some are suggesting she should have tried this stuff out for Halloween. She got the seasons mixed up, maybe?
