Kim Kardashian recently sparked a backlash for bashing other business women. But now the Keeping Up With The Kardashians (KUWTK) alum hopes those same women experience short-term memory loss by buying her newest products! This week, Kim unveiled her latest creations, the SKIMS brand Romance bra and briefs.

Love your lingerie? Kim Kardashian hopes that you appreciate your underwear enough not to skimp. And for her, that means buying her new SKIMS Romance products. On her website, the KUWTK alum describes the new line as a limited edition. “SKIMS ROMANCE,” wrote Kardashian. “Add some love to your summer nights with ultra-feminine, sheer silk chiffon intimates and sleep styles.”

Kim also turned to Twitter to tout her products. And she served as her own model. Re-tweeting the SKIMS Twitter post, Kardashian shared, “Just dropped: SKIMS ROMANCE. Your summer of love starts here! This collection of sexy, ultra-fine silk chiffon sleepwear and intimates… [turns] up the passion on your evenings.”

However, the website claims that all the products currently require a waiting list. And prices range dramatically. For instance, a SKIMS Romance Halter Slip sells at $88. And a SKIMS Romance Thong can be yours for just $22. 

Can Women Forget Kim Kardashian’s Female Business Bashing?

But will the products continue to sell among women who remember how Kim bashed business women? Kardashian’s infamous comments occurred a few months ago in an interview with Variety. And the reality TV star immediately went viral for her advice to women in business.

But the remarks sparked a seemingly endless backlash. For instance, some critics pointed out that Kim’s mother Kris Jenner deserves the credit for promoting/managing KUWTK and her daughters’ businesses. And many women who struggle at minimum-wage jobs slammed Kim directly.  

“Hey Kim Kardashian, every single person getting their selves up every day and working hard at a minimum wage job would like a word…,” wrote one Twitter commentator. And another agreed. “Richsplaining: When a person who hasn’t experienced poverty gives you patronizing advice on how to get out of poverty. 🙄.” Amid the more than 12,000 replies to Kim, several pointed to the fact that Kardashian got famous initially for her sex tape. For example, one shared, “Oh great the girl who got famous/rich for f**king Ray J is gonna lecture us.”
