Kim Kardashian Urged To Buy Her Dad Robert Kardashian’s Inscribed Bible Via Auction

If Kim Kardashian can shell out a lot of money for a piece of Princess Diana history, she sure as hell can put money down on a piece of family heirloom that holds sentimental value for her and her siblings.

The fashion mogul recently bid $15k on the Bible Robert Kardashian Sr. gifted O.J. Simpson the day after he was arrested for murder. Sadly, her fine offer was rejected. Happily, there is another way she could get her hands on them.

Reason O.J. Simpson’s Estate Rejected

If Kim Kardashian really wants to possess a piece of her family’s history, she may have to go higher with the price she’s offering or hop on the auction board.

The thing is, O.J. Simpson’s estate executor, Malcolm LaVergne, is doing his best to sell certain items to pay off leftover debts, and selling the bible for $15,000 isn’t going to cut it. Even though Kim privately reached out to bid on the item, LaVergne had no choice but to push it to auction due to a pre-existing contract with the court.

“The amount is why I had no choice, because why would I spend $15,000 of estate money — why would I spend $15,000 in attorney’s fees — to sell it to Kim for $15,000?” LaVergne explains. “That’s a zero-sum game. That’s a bad business model. If Kim had offered $150,000 for it, we would’ve been in court getting this approved outside of the auction.”

“Kim can bid on it online,” he adds of the item, which at present stands at a leading $9,800 bid. “She may even get it cheaper than the 15 grand, so who knows.”

Apart from the fact that the Bible holds value for the family, it also comes accompanied by a note written by Robert Sr., which was dated June 18, 1994 — the day after Simpson was arrested and charged with murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman.

“O.J., this book will help. God loves and he will speak to you with his words. Read this book everyday. God has a definite plan for your life. You are his child and he will use you again. I love you and God loves you,” the handwritten note reads.

Kim has often fondly talked about her father and his profession, and has even taken big leaps to follow in his footsteps.
