The Announcement
On Tuesday, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 42, confirmed that she and her husband were fighting off the viral respiratory pandemic in an Instagram post directly from the doctor’s office.
“Hubby and I tested + for Covid A few days ago! Been a hell of a ride!” Kim shared, along with pictures of her and her husband hooked up to IVs in the hospital, “very thankful for our Dr’s and a HUGE thank you to @tuff22 [Chris Tuff} for keeping us healthy and Piedmont Infusion Center as well. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!” “You guys rock! Thank you for all you do,” she further added, “my nurses were absolutely phenomenal.”
First diagnosis In The family
On January 13, their 23-year-old daughter revealed on her Instagram Story that she had contracted the virus and had been dealing with it for two weeks prior to the announcement. She also said that she had been isolating while she recovered.
“I’ve had covid (still recovering but I’m doing good today!!)” she wrote in one slide, adding in the next video that she was “beyond bored” from being in isolation and asked her fans for some TV show recommendations.
“Shoutout to Kroy who has been delivering me my necessities at the stairs. He’s been bringing me all my clothes and food. He even brought me milk and cookies the other night,” Brielle told her fans about her step-father, Kroy, though Kim later went on to clarify on her own Instagram story that it was she who brought the sweet treats.
On her Instagram, Kim admitted to being “very stressed” about Brielle’s diagnosis.
In addition to Brielle, Kim also has another daughter Ariana, 19, both of whom Kroy adopted after his marriage to their mother in 2011. Kim also has sons KJ, 9, Kash, 8, and Twins Kane and Kaia, 7 with husband Kroy.
As of Wednesday after they had announced that they had gotten the virus, it is unclear if any other of their children have contracted it as well.
