Kirstie Alley Ignites Twitter Storm With Endorsement Of Donald Trump

Cheers star Kirstie Alley is getting a ton of responses to her doubling down on her endorsement of Donald Trump. In 2016 she backed Trump and she’s doing so again in 2020.

The Hollywood actress tweeted that she is voting for the incumbent US President Donald Trump, “because he’s not a politician.”

Four years ago she pretty much did the same thing but seemed to backtrack after getting a bunch of flak. This time she seems to know her mind and is intent on sticking to it.

The beautiful and talented 69-year old actress has long been vocal in her support of Trump and this time around she is getting plenty of response to her opinion.

The actress recently tweeted: “I’m voting for @realDonaldTrump because he’s NOT a politician. I voted for him four years ago for this reason and shall vote for him again for this reason.” She continued, “He gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly. There you have it, folks, there you have it.”

After she tweeted her support of Trump, the actress then revealed that she had encountered an avalanche of criticism for taking sides in the election and snubbing Joe Biden who is also running for President of the United States.

A few short hours later she tweeted, “Don’t think I’ve ever seen so much name-calling in my life.”

She added, “Anyway, I guess I’m not allowed to have a viewpoint without being called a really nasty names by what I’m going to suppose are really nasty people.”

The erstwhile actress let it be known that she had no intention of changing her mind by writing, “Stick to your guns. Not always easy to be under fire but always easier than going against your own integrity.”

Alley then ended her response with, “JUST REMEMBER: if it takes thousands to try & bring u down, you must be one powerful Mfer Love wins.”

Alley played Rebecca Howe on the NBC sitcom Cheers from 1987 to 1993 and she earned an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe in 1991 for her role. She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1995.
