For instance, the first ceremony attracted no relatives. And the second wedding limited participants to just a few family members. But for the third wedding, all the relatives traveled to Italy for the over-the-top wedding.

Kourtney Kardashian And Travis Barker – Bashed For Religious Wedding

Travis Barker and his new bride Kourtney Kardashian tied the knot during a wedding ceremony that combined goth with the Catholic religion. But while the reality TV star glowed, some fans felt disrespected. And the backlash focused on Kardashian, noted Page Six.

Because Kourtney, 43, put a Virgin Mary image on her wedding veil, some viewers felt she mocked Catholicism. However, the reality TV star’s veil tried to mimic her 46-year-old new husband’s religious tattoo on top of his head. But Travis, in contrast to Kourtney, does share his link to the Catholic religion. As a result, fans felt Kardashian just randomly copied Barker rather than honoring Catholicism.  

And fans reacted accordingly. For instance, one Twitter follower complained about the veil specifically. Because Kourtney used the Virgin Mary image, the critic called her “weird” for her “Catholic aesthetic like the Virgin Mary on her dress and her wedding veil.” And others agreed.

For example, another fan re-tweeted photos of the wedding veil. And the follower wrote, “So disgusting to use the blessed Virgin Mary this way.” The pics also showed Kourtney flaunting her extremely short wedding gown. 

Kourtney Kardashian – Offends By ‘Mocking’ Catholic Religion?

Several Twitter critics felt that Kourtney’s and Travis’ wedding seemed like a mockery. For instance, one complained that the couple seems to take pride in “mocking the Catholic religion. They don’t symbolize religious people at all, just feels like mockery. I’m not Catholic,” added the critic. “But just doesn’t sit right with me.” 

And another cheered for the newlyweds with a qualifier. While “happy” for the couple, the fan feels that “liturgical garments used during mass are not something fashionable.” Kourtney even got bashed for her mini gown. “I’m just going to say it point blank. Kourtney Kardashian’s use of the Blessed Mother in her outfit(s) during her wedding weekend was extremely offensive to me as a Catholic. I have a right to feel offended by it,” tweeted the critic.

But one Twitter commentator focused on Travis. “What has he done to her ? This is so disgusting way in a church looking like a hooker! Him nearly 50 year old man trying to be 20! You are disgraceful,” scolded the critic.
