And second, Kardashian earned slams for not allowing her son to eat McDonald’s French fries. But in some ways, the French fries fiasco earned more publicity than the fashion runway! Get all the details below.
Kourtney Kardashian – Boasts About Boohoo, Gets Labeled ‘BS’
The oldest Kardashian sister, Kourtney, just became Boohoo fast fashion’s new ambassador. But when Boohoo named Kourtney as focusing on sustainability, the KUWTK star got slammed with negative remarks. And Kardashian didn’t help her cause when she sought to proclaim her Boohoo collections offered an eco-friendly, sustainable focus, noted Page Six.
For instance, social media proclaimed the collection “insulting, embarrassing, and utter BS.” And the backlash resulted from several factors. First, Kourtney used much more than her water allowance in California’s drought emergency. And second, Boohoo got charged with making “potentially misleading green claims” about their sustainability.
However, Kardashian tried to defend herself on social media. And she insisted that fast fashion will remain in the world. As a result, she wants to make the company accountable. Kourtney shared she hopes to reach out to people “who may otherwise have no idea about the impacts of fast fashion on our planet.”
Kourtney Kardashian – Won’t Let Son Eat McDonald’s Fries!
But Kardashian just kept on courting controversy. And she outraged social media with her fast food veto. Because Kourtney feels her children should follow her own strict diet, she bans treats like McDonald’s. And that means her son Mason spent a year without McDonald’s French fries, she said per People.
Kardashian boasted that she takes pride in raising her children to understand health and wellness concerns. And she used her son Mason, 12, as an example. “He said, ‘Mom, I need McDonald’s french fries today, please. It’s been a year since I’ve had it.’ I was like, ‘Today’s not the day, sorry.’ “
However, Kourtney immediately got hit with slams for raising her children with such strict food rules. Kardashian also co-parents her daughter Penelope, 10, and son Reign, 7, with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick. But Kourtney explained that she began her belief in teaching her children to eat only healthy food even before Penelope got born.
“Once I had kids was when I really bumped it up and started taking it more seriously,” she explained. “And, honestly, it changed my life on how I started eating. By the time I was pregnant with Penelope, I was fully in it and doing different kinds of cleanses. Like I did a Panchakarma cleanse. All these different things that I was getting into really changed my life, [down to] home-cleaning products.”
