Kylie Jenner – Copies Rival Brand
Kylie Jenner is expanding her beauty brand. She launched a new perfume. On Friday, March 1, she shared the news on Instagram.
Fans noticed something similar about her new fragrance. Kylie released the details of the perfume called Cosmic by Kylie Jenner.
She showed off the fragrance bottle that featured the Khy name on the cap. Three of the bottles lay against a neutral background. They were accompanied by a light brown box that featured the fragrance’s name.
Fans hated both the shape and the name. They also noticed that she ripped the design from Glossier’s perfume.
Kylie Jenner explained the design concept for the bottle. She admitted that she wanted to create a bottle that her fans could hold.
“From another world. Our sculptural bottle was formed to fit perfectly in the palm of your hand. cosmic by Kylie Jenner coming March 7 to kyliecosmetics.com,” the caption read.
Fans took to the comment section to share their thoughts. Most of them aren’t excited about this new fragrance. There were a lot of negative comments about the name and the shape of the bottle. Beauty aficionados think Kylie is a little late on this trend.
“This bottle looks just like Glossier’s,” one fan wrote. “Your billions of dollars couldn’t do better than this dumb name?” another fan wrote. “Should’ve spelled it Kosmic,” a third user noted.
Copies Kali Uchis Aesthetic With New Ad
Kylie Jenner was previously accused of copying artist Kali Uchis with a new ad for her fragrance.
She announced that Cosmic will be able to purchase on Saturday, March 9. The new ad shows Kylie with various flowers woven into her hair. She also has a face full of makeup.
Fans noticed similarities between the ad and Kali Uchis’ 2023 album, Red Moon In Venus. On the cover, she wears a headdress that features butterflies, her signature look.
She also has a full face of makeup. Because of the obvious copying of the bottle and the ad, many are saying that Kylie went from “trendsetter to trend bandwagoner.”
“Kylie’s transitioned from a trendsetter to a trend bandwagoner,” one fan wrote.
