Lady Gaga’s Makeup Artist Defends Star Against Pregnancy Rumors, Calls It “Body Shaming”

Lady Gaga's Makeup Artist Defends Star Against Pregnancy Rumors, Calls It “Body Shaming”Lady Gaga’s makeup artist, Sarah Tanno, is disappointed about the internet’s latest obsession, which happens to be about speculating the “Bad Romance” singer’s body.

This is coming after Lady Gaga announced the coming of a new album with different pics that saw her dressed in courageous outfits.

Before you think she’s fat here or there, Sarah Tanno wants you to remember that these speculations may be fun for you, but “it does affect people’s mental health.”

Sarah Tanno – Says “People Should Not Be Allowed To Comment On Other People’s Body”

After pictures of Lady Gaga celebrating her sister Natali Germanotta’s wedding in Maine hit the internet, fans were quick to zoom in and see places where the outfit didn’t fit right and to immediately jump to the conclusion that she’s pregnant.

“Honestly, it’s really sad that she had to address this because people were commenting about her body,” Tanno wrote in a June 5 post defending the singer. “People should not be allowed to comment on other people’s body. Fans have been saying for years that she was pregnant, just because how she looks in certain outfits.”

She continued on the X post: “Why spread a rumor about somebody that you care about or love? It does affect people’s mental health, people should not be body shaming people or assuming they are pregnant when they aren’t! Even if she was pregnant, it’s none of your business to know at all. Why are people obsessed with her being pregnant or not?? I don’t get it.”

Lady Gaga herself has personally addressed these rumors, using a Taylor Swift lyric. “Not pregnant, just down bad crying at the gym,” she wrote, over a smiling picture of herself. She also encouraged fans to register to vote using the same caption.

This drew the attention of Taylor Swift, who commented on the post, writing, “Can we all agree that its invasive & irresponsible to comment on a woman’s body. Gaga doesn’t owe anyone an explanation & neither does any woman.”

PEOPLE was the original outlet to run the story of Lady Gaga’s makeup artist’s reaction to the whole pregnancy rumor mill, but hours later, they seemed to take down the post.
They did not provide a reason for this.
