Once upon a time, Leah Remini was a member of the Church of Scientology. In the years since she left, she has become the church’s most outspoken opponent. Her latest lengthy essay goes to expose what she believes is an organized effort by the church to protect their members who have committed crimes of rape and assault.
Leah Remini – Says Scientology Stalks and Harasses Women Their Members Rape
Remini is not afraid to call out the church she used to be a member of for their heinous crimes. In a lengthy editorial shared on Substack, titled “Scientology’s Disgusting Antics In Court,” she heavily criticized Masterson’s legal team and the Church of Scientology, who she claims are involved in the case.
She began her essay: “Yesterday, I attended the rape trial of celebrity Scientologist Danny Masterson. As always, I attended to support the brave women who were raped by Danny and then later harassed, stalked, and attacked by Scientology.
Last week, Danny’s Scientology-controlled lawyers tried to get me thrown out of court based on the false premise that they were going to call me to testify later on.”
Leah Remini – Exposes Danny Masterson’s Legal Team’s Tricks To Get the Focus Off Of Him
The “King of Queens” alum also called out Masterson’s legal team for their trickery in trying to evade justice, writing: “Yesterday, once again, Shawn Holley, Danny Masterson’s Scientology-controlled defense attorney, tried to make a spectacle about my presence in court and suggested that she would try and force me to testify.”
She continued, “Imagine how weak Danny’s case is that his defense attorney (one of several controlled by David Miscavige) has to go to these lengths. I did not know the women who were raped by Danny when they were raped; anything of interest in a criminal trial is not information I can provide as a witness. Shawn Holley, Phillip Cohen, and the rest of Danny’s defense team just want to take the focus off their client, who has been charged with forcibly raping multiple women, and put it on me.”
She then went on to say that even though Scientology tries to disguise itself as a religion, bringing in a reverend to represent them, it is an “evil totalitarian Cult.”
Remini was raised as a member of the Church of Scientology, but left it nearly ten years ago to have what she calls a normal life and to give her children a normal upbringing.
