Liam Neeson’s Cheeky Response To The Labubu Trend Going Viral

Liam Neeson's Cheeky Response To The Labubu Trend Going ViralLabubu has transcended the bounds of plushy accessories to become a cultural movement, all thanks to BLACKPINK’s LISA for opening our eyes to the significance of the plushy devils.

Many celebrities have hopped on the trend, including Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Dua Lipa and even the football icon David Beckham, all of whom have used the dolls in creative ways to accessorize more than just their handbags. On the other side of the fence are certain celebrities who have chosen to resist the trend.

But whatever side of the fence that you’re on, the matter remains that we all know what a Labubu is. That was what I thought until Liam Neeson came along and shattered my illusions.

Liam Neeson Reveals He Hadn’t Heard of the Colorful Monster Toys Driving Pop Culture’s Latest Craze

Liam Neeson isn’t very sure what you do with a Labubu. Is it food, do people eat it?

I mean, yeah, he’s probably not on TikTok and all that, but hasn’t he even wondered why so many people have plushy dolls sticking from their bags, car keys, jeans and so on and so forth.

The thing is, he may have acquired a set of skills in his decades in the spotlight as a leading action star, but these skills were unfortunately not enough to help the 73-year-old identify what a Labubu actually is.

“I have no clue. No,” Neeson told Fox News after being asked the million dollar question: “what is a Labubu?” This question was posed with a picture of a Labubu on a screen shown to Neeson.

“Seriously, I don’t know.”

When told that said Labubu features in the picture in front of him, he confusedly replied, “Okay. It’s a fluffy doll. Or, can you eat it?”

No, you cannot eat a Labubu, Neeson. But I guess one might be forgiven for trying. Let’s just say that his cheeky response is creating an internet moment all its own.

Created by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung, Labubus are sold by Pop Mart. Their features are described as “a devilish but cute monster with pointed ears, a charmingly mischievous smile, and very sharp teeth.”

The Labubus cultural trend has seen a vast majority of reactions from different celebrities, from admiration to damn right disgust towards the expensive dolls.
